Absolutely stunning! I can't believe you guys manage to upscale what you have already done in 30 years. Everything is in the right place and Grant's vocals at the old brightness as we hadn't listened in years (though always with huge quality of composition).
Nice change of pace from Feeder. This wouldn’t have been out of place on Comfort In Sound. Great melody, nice use of pipes and a great drum part. Classic.
I'm loving this song, it makes me get emotional. But I bursted into tears coming here and reading other people got emotional for it too. That made me feel SO understood. Strong Christmas vibes to me on this track, it gives me so many good and joyful feelings.
Na, na, na, na, na, o, o The fear the thrills Moments when you can't Keep still You reach across To the other side For alcohol and pills I've seen it in your eyes That child behind the smile Running through the open fields 1989 you don't have to hide When you feel There's no escape Your numb inside Don't be afraid You'll learn to fight Another day Your a soldier of love Do you hear the sound Of water running down Carried by a mountain stream To a lake beside the town The streets so still and quiet Daylight rolls into night Moments now to reflect On feelings of desire Through the midnight hour When you feel Nothing is real Plastic and fake Don't be afraid You'll learn to fight another day Your a soldier of love Cause all we really need Is a little time To pull us away From the cliff edge We've been here A thousand times before I know Hearing voices In our heads Na, na, na, na, na, o, o You don't have to hide When you feel There's no escape Your numb inside Don't be afraid You'll learn to fight Another day Your a soldier of love When you feel Nothing is real Plastic and fake Don't be afraid You'll learn to fight another day Your a soldier of love
First off, what a song! I'm beyond amazed by the bands that still write high quality material in these times of mediocrity. Second of all, I'm gonna go on a hunch here and say that there is some God inspired lyrics in this song.
This would have been great to have released on November 11th, would be a perfect song to commemorate Remembrance Day to honour our fallen soldiers. Missed opportunity I guess.
Best Feeder track in years, beautiful

funny you say that, I felt like ELF and The Knock would fit pretty well on Tallulah, and some say Playing With Fire would fit on Polythene
Comfortably the best of the new tracks so far. Love it.

What a great new song! 6/8 is such a good time signature!
Always oozed class 👍
Fantastic band🫡
This is a special tune... Up there with JTWIF / FAT - Beaut of a song
Yet another classic song from Grant, I've been wondering what song the bagpipes would appear on since seeing the treehouse studio photo on insta 👍🥰
Ha ha ha. Comfort in Sound with bloody BAGPIPES. Not sure how, but it works.🤣🤣🤣
Na, na, na, na, na, o, o
The fear the thrills
Moments when you can't
Keep still
You reach across
To the other side
For alcohol and pills
I've seen it in your eyes
That child behind the smile
Running through the open fields
1989 you don't have to hide
When you feel
There's no escape
Your numb inside
Don't be afraid
You'll learn to fight
Another day
Your a soldier of love
Do you hear the sound
Of water running down
Carried by a mountain stream
To a lake beside the town
The streets so still and quiet
Daylight rolls into night
Moments now to reflect
On feelings of desire
Through the midnight hour
When you feel
Nothing is real
Plastic and fake
Don't be afraid
You'll learn to fight another day
Your a soldier of love
Cause all we really need
Is a little time
To pull us away
From the cliff edge
We've been here
A thousand times before
I know
Hearing voices
In our heads
Na, na, na, na, na, o, o
You don't have to hide
When you feel
There's no escape
Your numb inside
Don't be afraid
You'll learn to fight
Another day
Your a soldier of love
When you feel
Nothing is real
Plastic and fake
Don't be afraid
You'll learn to fight another day
Your a soldier of love
*you're
Was not expecting the bagpipes at the start.
But this turned out to be an awesome track!
And I feel my artistic inspiration twirling…
Love Grant's vocals on this track... Goosebumps

Magnifique !!!!!

Wow that was a good 4 minutes.

Why got nothing to do with that
@@whoknew2273 Just the bagpipes and drumming remind me of remembrance day commemoration music, and there is soldier in the title.
@@Phantom2502 Soilder is a literal term so as you could solider on
