Did the tank straps on my FJ, similar Toyota design straps but my skid plate is plastic instead. While it doesn't rust, it did crack because of the pressure of having one broken strap on the tank at the rear. It couldn't take the abuse of dandling with front mount only. Sure wish it's metal instead. Thank you for a well presented video.
Great move on the anti-sieze. Also if you have any left over sound deadener from a project, put a bit in those Howard Leighs, more NRR the better and it's basically free.
@@TomtheDilettante I meant using the extra in your ear pro. I would probably not use any outside the vehicle. I'm also surprised you didn't use any lanolin based uncoating.
Oh heck yeah! I never seize just about everything I put back together unless it's something that's not supposed to come apart again easily or anytime soon. Then I'm a firm believer in locktite :)

The F Bomb at the end is the best!! Awesome man!! Cheers!! J & C
Lol! Few things are as relatable as a diy induced f-bomb imo :-)
Looks good! I've heard good feedback on the rustoleum rust converter, hope it serves you well. Speaking of serving, HAPPY USMC BIRTHDAY, DEVIL!
came to see your diesel heater videos, but stayed for the gx470.
as my shop teacher used to say..... "that job sure turned out sexy" !!!!😁

Good point. I was wondering about that though if it would serve as a possible moisture trap and hasten corrosion. Whatcha think?

@@sldsnk3 Ah! gotcha. I do use Fluid Film but didn't cover that in this video. I should do that :)
looks great, hope it last a wail. Also, I hope you Never Seez on the bolts, makes it easier to get out later.

The profanities are required 🤬🤫🙄😂🤣
Yes they are. As common and necessary as a 10mm socket :)
20221108-Tu.1839, 😎 Nice and shiny black enamel!
for now LOL. Hopefully it stays that way for a while. With midwest winters and salt, it's hard to say
