Engine miles. Unless you rarely charge your Volt, you probably won't need to change the plugs due to mileage. Might be worth doing after 10 years or so just due to age.
No. These new plugs dont need it. I haven't used anti sieze for the past 7 years on my Hondas with NGK plugs . Its too easy to over torque the plugs. The GM plugs in the car didn't seem have it either.
I really appreciate your making this video. However, your camera work needs improved. It looks like you're wearing some kind of camera but it's REALLY distracting, often off-centered and... it's making me dizzy. Find a different way to do the camera work and speak live while recording. Don't film it and then do a voice over. Sorry for being critical. You're doing a great service for novice people like myself but I work in the "video" world and your camera work could be greatly improved. I often could not see what you were talking about because the camera was moving all over the place.
FYI: The Second Gen Volt Service manual specifies 17 Nm or 13 lb ft of torque for spark plugs.
Thanks!
Ty
Can you please link us to the manual?😢
Thank you! I love my Volt and changed the oil but never the plugs. I thought the misfire was stale gas.
misfire on volts are usually one of these, Valve Cover/PCV, Plugs, Coilpacks
Thank you! Really, greetings from Mexico!
Fic your audio, try an H4N Recorder & raise the output volume, compare to youtube commercials on export - pro tip

What is the star guage for rhe emgine cover? T??
Thank you! Good video, Keep it up! 🙂
The manual says to change plugs at 97,500 miles. Is that engine miles or car miles? My 2017 Volt has 102,000 miles but only 32,000 on the engine.

My 2nd gen will not engage the auto high beams any ideas
What's the firing order
What is the gap width?
All non-copper plugs are pre-set from the manufacturer. If you change the setting you may well ruin the plug.
Привет .Код свечей напишите пожалуйста. Какой мне купить.
Any need to use anti sieze grease? Some manufacturers do not recommend it.

Is it 10mm or 14mm socket? Because in your video you said 14mm but in your info on the video says 10mm.
The 10 mm is for the coil pack bolts. The14 mm is for the spark plugs
What about life after 100,000 miles on volt chevy, does the battery degrade, talk to me
Nope, still at 55 ev miles full charge!
We have over 175k on ours. It is degrading,we now get roughly 30 miles on the battery pack currently. I am planning on a replacement pack soon.
Thanks for the instruction. Please don't wave the camera around so much. Let us see where you are working.
13 ft/lb, not 18!!!
The second generation Volt was 2016 to 2019. No 2020 Volts.
Great content but work on your narration
