my dog picked up a baby squirrel... she was very gentle and she is a huge dog.. the momma squirrel at that point i guess realized what happened and came down the tree soo freakin fast to kick my dogs butt... lol i grabbed the baby squirrel out of her mouth and laid it gently on the ground and backed away slowly. The squirrel grabbed its baby and ran back up the tree. my dog just looked at me like really sad... i said hey you have him and pointed to the aussie puppy she picked out. she howled at me like she was telling me off.. lol now if its a bird.. different ending..lol

This video made my mother cry. She used to have calves and cows when she was a small child. She kept saying that she looked so much like Elsie, her cow. She even mentioned the diamond on her head. I think y'all should either call her Elsie or Diamond.
Watching the interaction between Camo, Maverick and the calfs made my whole day. Very timely. That first calf was fading out.
I swear you could see the relief in that calfs eyes when Rob forced the bottle in to its mouth to get it drinking some of that formula

That is exactly what happened to our mini baby cow she couldn’t nurse so we had to feed her with a bottle but now she’s doing excellent❤❤❤
I’ve had so many baby calves to feed and they never drink that fast… that baby was starving 🥺 THE DOGS LOVED THE CALF 🥺❤️🔥

Great video Robert, some people have no ldea what a farmer goes thru on a daily basis. Its no monday thru Friday 9-5 job. It consists of a 24-7-365 job. A Big Shout out to all are Farmers and Ranchers.
Growing up we had friends that raised cows along the Mississippi River levee system. Helped my grandfather raise several calves who either: lost their mother, got rejected, or mom had no milk. Lost a couple but most made it to become large, annoying fence breakers lol. The goofy heifers liked to give birth on the coldest, crappiest winter days which didn’t help matters. Once that calf gets going well you better hang on tight to that bottle!
Man can't tell ya how many hung up calves I have delivered or nursed calves back to health. Brings back memories( mostly good haha) great job on helping out . I bet Sarah is going what the heck are you doing with a calf in our trailer!!!!! Ah the smells of the good old cattle ranch. All being about being g a good hunter and steward of the land!!!!
Awe yes the good ol days when we had a dairy farm. We call them litch baby's. I don't know why it's just what my grandpa always calls them. I remember when he was trying to get a newborn on the bottle (nonalcoholic)😂 that lost it's mother. He couldn't get the baby to drink and handed me the bottle and said "if you can get her to drink you can have her". Not kidding i spent all night trying to get her to drink. By daybreak I finally got her to drink. I was 6 at the time. My grandpa said good job and we did chores. That night he couldn't get the baby to drink so he called me over and asked me to try. I brought the bottle up to the babies mouth and she went to town on the bottle. We were best friends until she died at 7 years old. That was my favorite cow. 22 years old and i still love telling that story

Rob you did a great job rescuing that beautiful baby. You are AWESOME! Mav and Camo did a great job taking care of her. Mav really just loves her. He also did a great job helping catch the other calf. Camo might have had a litter of puppies and the mothering came out. Mastitis is no joke. I had it with my first child. It was so painful and I ended up with 104 temp. It sucked. I just had to work through it with the doctors help to keep feeding my baby. Again Rob you have a heart of gold.
calves, dawgs, katts, squirrels, bunnies, mice, robins, hawks and osprey and many others have been through the program......things that just need a paw or claw up.....keep it up.

At first I was thinking Maverick was mostly predatory. Camo was so caring I had tears flowing and sobbing! Then Maverick turned into such a caring dog! Britney and her hubby came on to take charge in what I would call the most amazing knowledgeable part of animal husbandry I have ever seen! Thats awesome. People think because we hunt and fish that we have no care for life. But most of us actually care and we help animals if we can. Hunting and fishing is a natural, organic resouce that we know is healthier than store bought meats. Thanks for sharing.

Lived on a cattle, horse ranch when I was little and 18. Most work most people over so. Love it and still part of my life. Love ranch life, its the best and my kids love it too. Keep on keepin on...
Robert, you did a great thing saving that calf! I lived on my sisters grade A dairy farm up in Minnesota and I can tell you from too many experiences of loosing calf's to dehydration that it's very difficult to bring them back. Treating the mother is a painful experience for the mother as well. So from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!
Being a good steward of the land is rewarding for the farmer/rancher keeping an eye out for the livestock. It has self reward as well because you are doing something to help. I'm no stranger to pulling calves out of boggs and herding bulls back onto the property I have permission to hunt. Great for hunter/landowner relationships

It was great seeing this content, I grew up on a farm in the UK and couldn't count the number of times we had lambs or calves in front of our kitchen log burner to warm them up, or being fed. With modern electrolytes, a lot of the risk is gone as often with sick calves too rich a milk power could cause them to scour making them even sicker.
Great Job, and a sound message that anyone using farm land should be the farmers/ranchers eyes and ears in many ways.

Two 👍 up. Great job y'all. A friend of the family use to own a milking farm. I think around 600 heads. They would still milk the cows with mastitis, but throw out the affected milk. It went to a different tank & when the guys we're done milking, they would open the valve, it would go out on the ground. What a waste, but keep the other milk safe.
