    I have already scheduled my vacation trip to the Grouse Mountain in Vancouver. I can't wait to experience the Skyride trail.

    I've climbed it 3 times, but that was 11 years ago when I was horribly out of shape. I should try it again now that I've worked in construction and have been going to a gym for the past 3 years.

      I would totally do it! This was my second time climbing it and I would definitely do it again. Also, it makes having a meal afterwards taste that much better :)

    I think I'll save this for a future trip to Vancouver, just not my first one. I think I need a more relaxing trip my first time :P

    Great video, whats the difference between the two trails ? BCMC and the grind ?

    • @chrissiepops
      @chrissiepops  2 місяці тому +1

      The grouse grind has a lot of elevation and stairs as you can see in the video. The BCMC trail is an easier version of it with the elevation spread over a slightly longer distance.

    I climbed GG in 2019 and I was so proud of it - I managed it in 1 hour and 32 minutes... But the whole time I had people running past me, that was part of the motivation I guess, I was aiming for 2.5 hours like you guys did it in lol 😅
    I visited Vancouver again in Sep 2023, but unfortunately GG was closed for a long overdue period of maintenance :(
    Do you know if anything changed? Watching your vid, I can see that that shiny silver bridge might be a new addition?
    Due to the closure, I went and did Garibaldi Lake and the Panorama Ridge instead - WOW! That is an incredible hike! 😊

      Yes! It was so much fun! My first time climbing it was actually about 3 years ago and there was no shiny bridge. At that time, I went by myself and climbed it in 1 hour 20 minutes.
      Since I was climbing with another person this time, we paced ourselves and the bridge looks fairly new. They also changed the aesthetic of some of the signs, but other that that, I remember it to be fairly similar to 3 years ago.

      It is $20 one-way down for an adult and $10 for a child. :)
