    Thank you. Since childhood I was told by all my dance instructors to rest the hips on the heels, but I had some doubts about this. Thank you.

      the heel is technically under the hip bones, what happens is that when the weight goes to the little side of your toes, and the hips are not turned out, the heels go back, and the ankle takes the weight. Eventually leading to an ankle sprain and unhealthy load on the knees.

    I think that the key to this way of doing muramandi is healthy back without hiper-lordosis, which many people have.
