Aren't you supposed to open the brake fluid cover and check the fluid in case it might over flow from compressing the pistons? I need to change my pads and have never done this before is why I'm asking.
From my experience, as long as brake fluid has not been added to the brake fluid reservoir prior to changing the pads, it is not necessary. The system should be self contained and the fluid will go back to normal levels. I am a DIY person and have changed many pads following this procedure shown in the video and I've never had to add brake fluid. My comments are my own and I am not responsible for anyone else's actions while working on their own vehicles. If you are not sure, take it to a reputable mechanic.
Excellent and informative video. I have a 2013 SantaFe and I just changed all 4 sets of pads, very easy.
Great information. Clear step by step instructions. Thank you!
Great Video! Good Job!

Best to take master cylinder cap off. Not only to make piston/s go in a lot easier but doing so will give you a partial brake system bleed.
THat's one way to ruin a brand new set of brake pads - why wouldn't you use the old ones instead?
The old what??
@@g8way2k1 Use the old brake pads to compress the pistons instead of the new ones
