Absolutely love the dedication. Love the organisation of the project Tim. Just superb. I love the tropical style plants you have but that view man is to die for over the Hudson.
I always wanted to do that with my super old 8mm movie camera when I was a kid. There is a great tropical gardener on youtube "Green Dragan" and he does it, and I thought I have to steal that as well. It makes me laugh everytime I do it
@@newyorktropicalgarden9364 i bet 😎 i grew up in ct, but moved to the uk nearly 20 years ago, we are fortunate to have a mild climate where most of what you have to dig up we can leave in the ground with minimal to no protection, but i can certainly appreciate the dedication, and i bet people cant believe what youve created when they see it! not your average NY garden lol
@@newyorktropicalgarden9364 you should check out the tresco abbey gardens if you havent yet, i think it is one of the largest collection of plants from around the world and i think the garden is over 200 years old now 🌴
Hey, I love your videos! I hate to say though, that you should consider moving your Phoenix Canariensis to another spot (before it gets too heavy). No doubt you have planted it in a beautiful spot but it's gonna grow so much in diameter that it's gonna be impossible to protect in this spot in the not too distant future. I have one specimen which is 3 meters tall already in my zone 7b garden and trust me I know exactly what I'm talking about. Much love from a palm tree maniac overseas!
@@DonPablo91 Hi there. I fully agree. When I planted this Phoenix Canariensis I wasn’t even sure if I could keep it alive. But now it’s thriving. I’m going to be scared to move it but I know I have to try. Maybe I will this spring. I welcome any advice in moving it. Glad there is another Palm Tree lover out there!
@newyorktropicalgarden9364 great! Got record height on my Musa basjoo, my Washy got a lot bigger (now about 5 ft) planted a Date palm. Created more beds. Next year I will be planting a LOT more!
Thank you for showing us the "behind the scenes" logistical work. It is a lot of work! When are you planning to have the tropical plant sale? I am in Manhattan and would love to drive there to get some of the plants. Are you able to tell me the list if what will be available? Thanks. Jay here.
@@jailtonnascimento5217 Hi Jay. Thank you. I’m thinking about April when I’m putting everything in the ground and will absolutely know I have too much of everything. I will try and put together a winter video with the list. What are you interested in?
@@newyorktropicalgarden9364I am interested in some windmill palms (do you also have any wagnerianus?) castor beans (purple variety, if possible), agaves and hardy Opuntias. I will probably add more once I see your list. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much! I hate fall because it's so much work, but in the spring I will be happy

Really interesting and inspiring to see the dedication towards a tropical garden in your location! I look forward to the next video!
@@palmsexoticsuk2194 Thank you so much. It’s a joy as long as I get everything done before a hard frost
Good luck with the hibernation, its a pleasure to watch your videos from Montreal

Awesome, collecting up the new agave ! Digging up the yucca, its all going on. Fantastic insight into what you need to do to prepare for overwintering

It's definitely a long, long process!
We have been are filling our house our house up with our plants! Now the hose looks tropical 😂
It always makes me laugh how I have these big windows with beautiful views but I cover them all up with plants. But I love it.
