Wil-ga! Wil-ga! Had this in FSX (Aerosoft I think), love this type of flying and Got Friends just make such beautiful airplanes so this is a must!
If You ever seen one of these live I mean from the 70s perhaps mid 80s youd be like whoaaaaaaa what on earth and today we would say Seriously !!?? and the sound in real and seeing it fly made you wanna run away but in the sim what a cool aircraft and cool video as usual Thank You

Thanks for the video. Not sure if its the recording, but something weird happened there with the landing. It seemed to just stick to the ground. Is there anything different about ground handling that you noticed?
Yeah, somethings off there, like there’s no suspension at all, and with those main landing gear you’d expect it to not just stop dead in its vertical motion.
I have seen a bunch of people say this... no suspension travel
@@CCitis I raised this in Got Gravel's discord and was told that its fairly heavy with a rear centre of gravity. But if you land hard or manhandle it while taxiing, you will feel the suspension. Obviously I have not tried it.
I was considering buying it, but after this landing I probably won't...

@@horvath83 After reading your comment I have to agree. I have watched every video I can find and the Wilga is landing the very same way. This needs to be brought to Got Friends attention. I'm sure they would fix it.
I just got the Wilga and I hate to say it but I'm not convinced. Bought it cause I'm Polish and it's just such a cool plane, from Got Friends so I assumed everything would be fantastic on this plane. I have their Discus premium too and love the flight model on it. But the Wilga... It just doesn't fly in the same fluid way as the RV10 from SWS, for example. The Wilga has this unnatural jerkiness to it, very much like the default aircraft. Even the sounds seem off. I open the little window or the door and there's barely any change in the sound. Again, sounds on SWS RV10 or even the old CH701 seem more immersive. I'll be doing more flying and testing but it's definitely not as good as I was hoping.

Overkill Simulations I always 💕 love good surprises. This is all really cool stuff. The wilga is a nice airplane but it's not really my type. Thanks for another amazing video. This has added a little cheer to my day as I'm having some trouble with my boss at work. this guy is really an ahole I got sent home today. I think this is it I've had just about enough of being sent home and being fust at. I think the time has come for me to quit this job. My God help me, I really need it. Have safe flight

Shouldn't the starter not function if the battery is turned off?
The engine of a Wilga is started with compressed air :) so no battery is needed to get it running.
1. It has a pneumatic starter, powered by air. That air starter doesn’t need electricity, except maybe to operate it’s opening valve. However the air starter only starts the engine turning, it doesn’t provide ignition. The battery must be on to energize the “shower of sparks” high energy pulse system that ignites the fuel for starting. And before either of those processes, you also need the battery on to provide power to the primer to pressurize the fuel lines. So yeah, you need the battery on to start the aircraft.

You need battery power to both run the fuel pumps to pressurize the fuel lines before starting, and to energize the “shower of sparks” ignition which sends pulses of energy (through the magnetos and spark plugs) to ignite the fuel. All the air starter does is replace the traditional electric starter which is used to “crank the engine over” I.E. get the pistons, rods and crankshaft moving. The reason for the air starter is that you don’t need as much juice from the battery during the starting sequence (helpful in cold conditions, or other problematic situations) and you can also keep cranking the engine even after start up in order to help be sure it has started strongly. Electric starters must be released as soon as the engine starts up or they will be damaged.
It's pronounced "Vilga". It's Polish for oriole.

@@horvath83 Ah, i found the option "X" that has some modern Garmin stuff 35X/80X , Will work just fine for what i need and it's included and has the 435hp engine. That thing should cook along great. Speaking of cooking, I'll throw some of that potato-hash on the grill too.
@@dabneyoffermein595 Garmin glass cockpits are a bit like android phones… Too saturated colorful mess, and every cockpit looks the same. GTN 750 is the most I can accept in GA aircraft ;-)

Draco version?????
is the Draco the Mike Patey version that crashed and got totaled? I would love if someone did that plane with a glass cockpit (largest glass screen possible). Also put some realism in it , like when you see the landing at the camp-site in the video, the dash doesn't bump at all and the plane remains perfectly level as he is rumbling on the airstrip (which for sure would be a bit bumpy and make the dash move a bit in relation to the outside scenery). There is not even a little movement. Loss of immersion. Maybe you know of a mod that would make all planes do this or at least GA planes. I would love bumping and crunching sounds like in real life (squeaks, tire noises, grinding of wheels in rocks and dirt/grass, wildlife sounds once out of the cockpit.
Got Friends are interested but they are having trouble getting Mike to give them the info.

You were absolutely pumped about the “camping details” yet you didn’t show or are you not aware that you could pick up the drink from the cooler, move the fishing rod and actually play the guitar! I mean music notes will appear on the screen to click with your mouse. Also on the float version you can paddle to move the plane in the water.
