I laughed when he said no one wants to go to the IE. Yet everyone is moving out here and is crazy populated. Fastest growing area. The best way to describe San Bernardino to an outsider, is that it is the closest thing to Los Angeles in the IE. Meaning you have good areas near the foothills and then really bad areas. In elementary we moved to the Dino and I graduated from P-Mob and went to valley college. But my aunts and cousins and grandparents still lived in Long Beach, paramount, and Compton so of course we were out there for family gathering and birthdays and holidays. Growing up in SB you’d hear the bird in the sky everyday and never went a day without hearing gunshots nearby. I grew up pretty hood and in hardcore neighborhoods. I’m glad my sisters and I were never an innocent bystander situation. I worried often with that growing up but didn’t want it to define my childhood years. I’d often go to the CGs because a close church friend I considered her my mommy and called her mommy. It was funny cause when she introduced me to people she would say oh this my daughter my adopted daughter. Lol. They’d look at her then look at me and say ookkaayyyy with a smile. Lol. And to think there areas I was raised in and lived no one would believe me if I were to describe myself to them.
The sad thing is that I’m from San Bernardino and the reason why it’s like that is because a lot of people that were gang members or whatever moved from LA to San Bernardino made it worse. Every city has its good and bad parts.

My dad grew up in Fontana, he was born in 1960. A big reason San Bernardino went downhill was the Kaiser steel mill closing. It closed in like the late 70s or early 80s I believe. It was everything you mentioned combined with that.
I have much love for the Dino, but I didn't realize how dangerous it was until I would talk about "normal" memories from my childhood to my significant other who grew up in Rancho. Haha. Apparently helicopter lights in your backyard on a semi-weekly basis is not considered normal. But then again, I grew up a block above Baseline. It (92405) is a rougher part of the city in comparison to the 92407.
92404 here. Our last night in sb before my dad moved us out in 07, we literally had police and choppers flying over our house. Armed robbery gone wrong, dude was running through our neighborhood and hid under our neighbors back patio/porch. Go figure.
I'm from Tucson, AZ and helicopter lights are an everyday occurrence. There used to be nice parts but now the whole actual city of Tucson is grimey af; east, west, south and north. We're a major trafficking route and everyone has a Sinoloa Cartel connect. There's suburbs and foothills that are nice but they stay out of the valley. When I talk to my family in CA (city of Orange, Valencia, SD area) or my fam in the Midwest (Chicago suburbs/Indiana) about growing up they are like "wtf" 😂.
@WizardsPath-if5oq "Tucson has one of the highest crime rates in America compared to all communities of all sizes-from the smallest of towns to the very largest of cities. One's chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime is one in 21".... don't argue with me, argue with the statistics. "Literally safe af" is relative, I'm comparing to the rest of the US, not fucking Ukraine kid. I've lived here my whole 33 years of life and the shit I've seen and been through is a testament to how grimey Tucson is. Have you ever even been to Tucson?
So true. Mt Baldy and Mt San Gorgonio are gorgeous when covered in snow. I lived in Rialto but recently moved out of my parents this year to Upland. The mountains are like an undiscovered wonder of the world.
Love San Bernardino! Worked and lived there for 23 years before coming back home to family. It's only dangerous if you live that life, but I always felt safe. Lived off D and Highland.
This. Lived here 20 years, and this video is f'ing comical. This place is pretty darn safe as long as you aren't connected, or disrespect someone you don't know. I wasn't aware of almost all the stuff in this video. It's literally 1000 people, mostly teens. There's jobs everywhere here too. I can leave my job and walk into another within a mile, any day of my choice. Now when I see vids like this about other areas, I'm gonna have to take them with a pinch of salt.
That’s some bs you got to raise your kids there and you don’t choose their friends as well as being liable to catch a stray bullet just driving around not to mention everyone on drugs
Alejandro Herrera was my cousin but it always felt like he was my brother growing up, he died on the corner of Mt.Vernon and 10th Ave.Up until today all I knew is that his killer was a 17 year old from the CGC. Never knew his name and that he went to San G, shit I went there my sophomore year. I was staying in the OC at this time but if I would have known this around the time of his murder, I wouldn't be here typing this comment today. Its crazy that I randomly clicked on this video. l moved away about 3 years ago but I have a big family most of which are still over there. I grew up around all these gangs, most specifically, Westside Verdugo 7th st and Verdugo flats. They're arguably the biggest gangs in this cities history and only a 3 minute drive from the Gardens. I get it though, the IE is so big and there are so many gangs...from the zoo out in Colton to the 5X crips which border Rialto and SB. It would take a 5 part documentary to cover it and even then it would never encapsulate the whole culture.
I went out to the Dino some years back and loved that shit. I grew up in the projects anyway so it felt like home. I still remember the King Tut liquor store on Baseline and everything. Salute to all the real ones out there still holding it down.💯
My fam is from verdugo i came dwn alot in the 80's and 90's as a kid and young teenager I've always kept to myself and respected everybody and minded my own

It may not be that bad to you because you don't live that lifestyle but I remember living there in 2002-2003 and it was that bad even worse. I remember when I lived in the San Francisco Bay area several years ago and I dated this girl from Long Beach and Compton and she use to call San Bernardino little LA and say how she would never raise her kids there because of how dangerous it is. I remember reading some stats in 2018 that said San Bernardino was statisticly the most dangerous city in California.

The Dino is definitely a neglected city. I use to work off of university back behind the wal mart. I continued to finish my burger and the other people involved causally were just like *shoulder shrugs* 😂😂 Not gonna lie I love MUSCOY it’s like little Mexico inside the DINO
3rd generation of San Bernardino here, my family owned madison design, they were architects of San Bernardino, since the 50s, 60’s, 70s,80s,90s,2000 still growing. Yarnall street is named after my grandmother. I remember my dad still say to this day, that crooked politicians, took money and hit the road, as far as gangs, I remember the cops afraid to go to muscoy, today the failed mentioned part is the homeless population, the addiction that spiked in the 80s and 90s, and lots of different factors. I mean there’s so much other things to talk about then this, if you want dramatic stories San Bernardino has it.
22 years in San Bernardino living in the north end by Cal State. You nailed it about the crooked politicians. City government through the 80's and 90's is a big reason San Bernardino is the way it is now.
I live in hesperia and my dad lives in San Bernardino, lived in the IE my whole life and honestly can’t complain. California’s expensive as it is so to find a good spot is hard. We’ve reached the point to where our freeway needs a fasttrak, overpopulated FAST. Homes are being built tho but damn we getting the worst of the worst now 😅
I grew up in the middle of all this shit.. specifically in Delmann Heights, still some of my best childhood memories are at the DH community center. That was so sad how they did Jamal, didn’t know him personally but my family did. In 2006 people was getting murdered left and right, it was a crazy time. I Moved from SB a while ago and I would never go back. I used to run the house party scene in the early 2000s in San Bernardino. We've seen a lot go down...a whole lot. Back then the hottest spots were the projects,19th Street, the yellows and lil Africa.
That’s a lie. IE gets cold in the winter. IE is home to some of the best skiing and snowboarding spots in cities/towns like Big Bear and Wrightwood. Yes that is the IE too.
@@massttrshrdrharmonicminor2002 yeah I hear you. There’s to a lot do in the IE. People just lazy to even try to look. Theres sporting events like auto race, tennis at Indian Wells. I was born and raised here. We walked thru every neighborhood at all hours of the day and night. Now I wouldn’t walk anywhere. Gangs have ruined San Bernardino. Not one good neighborhood in the whole city. Doesn’t matter if you stay to yourself , you are still at risk of getting shot by stray bullets or robbed. One neighborhood I lived in we slept on the floor every weekend due to so many shootings on the weekends and bullets slicing thru the houses walls.

It (92405) is a rougher part of the city in comparison to the 92407.
yeah i grew up in the 92405 neard davidson elementary now that you mention it i do remember alot of helicopters in the sky at night
@@chekz3520 Tuscon is literally safe af. Stop it. You probably rock wit King Tuc lol
It's sad because we have such great mountains. But no one ever looks up at them.

@@lordjoyous Stockton is a city that (by California standards) has a high crime rate (compared to a lot of places in America though, it really doesn't). So by saying something is the Stockton of x, y, or z you're saying it's not a good place to live.
Raised in Long Beach and moved to Riverside a couple years ago, part of the IE. It’s it’s really nice in Riverside overall. But San Bernardino city is run down and ghetto dangerous. People do visit the IE. Big bear, Palm Springs, Temecula, and lots of openness to get away. You can still get a nice home in a good neighborhood in the IE though compared to LA. But, it’s still expensive

You need to do one on Antioch. Especially the sycamore area. I know you’ve mentioned it in a few videos about Oakland or SF. Antioch’s murder rate is around 10 per 100k people (not a good thing). It’d be cool to see one of those about my hometown and maybe even gente I know.
Word.
YocLife!!!
Who are the two local gangs going at it in Antioch? Those guys are from Pittsburg vs Richmond they are just out there I thought
Shout out Mike Sherm
It’s all outa towners turnin up Antioch tho.
Grew up in Muscoy and a lot of my friends were from Delmas Heights.
Left when I was 13, came back to Berdoo for my senior yr of high school.
Things have sure changed since back then. But I’ll never regret having lived my childhood there.
i rate doggeeestyle iv been bumping him for a few years now over here in England...Your content is very good keep up the graft mate top stuff salute !
I went to Ingram elementary, then I went to Rialto for middle school (Frisbee) but yeah growing up in SB was no joke.
When I was growing up in San Bernardino in the 60's-70's the IE consisted of the Ontario, Fontana, San Bernardino and Riverside area and it was a very cool place to grow up in.

I’m from San Bernardino and the IE. San Bernardino is the dirtiest city ever. I couldn’t get out quick enough. I saw some messed up things in that city. The city is bankrupt and the police are poorly funded and the response time shows. I had my car stolen 5 times in a month before it finally disappeared forever.
The IE use to be the biggest county in the USA 909 & 951& 760 Riverside San Bernardino & Desert Empire used to be one county SB county & it went all the way to Arizona it changed 23-24years ago when I was 7. I was born & raised here. I still live in the IE & I have family from the Gardens, my Lil cousin raps on a couple doggy style videos
This a lie, riverside ain’t ever been apart of San Bernardino county
San Bernardino County is still the largest county in the u.s.
San Bernardino county is still the largest county in the nation.
I.E. was never a county. CA became a state in 1850 with only 27 counties. Los Angeles and San Diego counties held all of those territories until the state created S.B., Riverside, Imperial and Inyo counties. We now now have 58 counties in CA with San Bernardino the largest geographically .
@@E.P.1 I didn’t say the Ie was a county it’s two countries together but sb county alone already biggest there is

I wish you would've gotten the 911 recording of a major gang shootout where one of the gangs (who was loosing) called 911. The cops arrived and ended the mess
Wtf haha spill da beans
snitching is disgusting.
Naw, this wasn't snitching. The 911 call sounded like a movie scene. It was funny as hell. Mind you, as dude was begging for help, you can hear the bullets ripping through the house. It made the news, but dam it was funny. It was funnier than the time Snoop called 911
@@keneism68 bruh why do I remember that shit 😂🤣😂
Anyone know where the video is?😂😂
You should've spoke about West Side Verdugo, South Side Verdugo, and East Side Verdugo as well all in San Bernardino, and other famous rappers from San Bernardino like J Bandz from West Verdugo and DoughBoyy from South Verdugo
I love the Dino baby. One of the most underrated places to be in Cali.
Thank u for finally doing a story about San Bernardino CA. I kept telling the hood stories guy to do a hood stories about San Bernardino, he did Riverside CA. & Moreno valley CA. But still hasn't dun San Bernardino CA. As I keep fucking requesting, thank u for finally showing the world wht a nightmare this city is to live in, & it's even worst to live in as is shown in this story!!!😳

That intro has such a hard beat. Gets me hype everytime
Since you’re already in the area. Check out riverside, Moreno Valley, and colton. Don’t let the area fool you you’d be surprised at what you’d find out about the other side of the IE
Riverside isn't really active but Colton and Mo Val definitely are
Now Riverside Got stories.. and the hoods ain’t all on one side. Each side has a special beef.
@@ChewyRiver they definitely have stories no doubt, but Riverside is massive with a population of 326,000 and they usually only have around 15 homicides which is really good for a city that size. Last year Riverside had 17 homicides for 326,000 people. In 2018 Colton had 17 homicides and that's a city of 60,000. SB has 215,000 people and they have 50, 60, 75 homicides a year
