I was about 5 when I saw this movie for the first time, and I never saw it again (my parents rented it for me). From what I remembered I think I liked it, but if I see it again I don't know if I would still think that way. I was on IMDB trying to figure out what this movie is (because I forgot the title but I remember some scenes), and someone helped me out. I have a netflix account but they don't have this movie. I really would like to see this movie again out of curiosity.
Those of us born in the 1970's and 80's were so lucky to have grown up with this ridiculousness. Muppets and stop motion were so much scarier than cartoonish CGI.
@KeeperOfProphecies Totally. I can't stand them. They're not even scary. Or atleast attempt to be scary. They just use gore and blood. Sure it makes it horror. But not frightening. Atleast these things would creep you out. I mean, if I saw a puppet from the Saw films, I'd laugh and kick it. If I saw a Ghoulie, I'd scream and run.
i absolutely love this movie. the first 2/3 are absolutely terrible and hilarious. and the last third turns into an almost halfway mistakable for decent movie. overall, amazing. i love how ghoulies 1 was legit horror, 2 was somewhat comedic, and in 3... they can suddenly talk.
