Just installed mine today and everything worked out great! If I install a plug and play brake controller , will it still send the signal to the trailer harness I just installed ?
You would need to install a 7 pole harness in order to use a brake controller and plug a trailer with brakes in. www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/etrailer/ETBC7.html
The manufacturer only recommends running the 12V wire directly to the positive post on the battery. If you run the wire to the 12V outlet in the rear of the vehicle, you run the risk in overloading the outlet and blowing the fuse. We don't recommend installing it in any other way than what's shown in the install instructions. Anyway to connect the power cable to the trunk passenger side 12v outlet somehow? That would save alot of trouble on wiring...

can you take 12 volts of the 12 power supply on the passenger side, i think it is the only plug on that fuse
