Most I’ve had is 45 lbs of boost with the screws turned out all the way on a 3406B. Now we are three turns out and average 8 mpg as long as we keep the boost between 20-25 psi. Downshifting and running slow and low is not a problem for us. We take care of our truck, pay attention to the twenty four gauges, and he our freight from point A to B reliably. This is not a Ferrari, it is an eighty thousand pound wrecking ball.
A friend of mine has that same motor, Cat 3406B, with straight pipes his truck makes that cool trumpet sound, I absolutely love it now awesome turbo

I just put an E model turbo on mines no adjustments besides sliding the exhaust down pipe back three inches.

If his truck is a stock 425 but has the fuel pump turned up, with a turbo like that Iam guessing he's around 550 or 575hp as is
