I'd absolutely love it if they did that! I've been a LEGO fan/collector for pretty much my entire life, but I don't think I could name a single LEGO designer off the top of my head. That hardly seems fair.
"Compromised" opinions are sometimes the best opinions. The fact that you know backstories to various parts of a set (more so than a casual buyer) makes it all the more exciting, and sharing that knowledge lets everyone else in on the 'secrets' and the set becomes special to that many more people.
I think the "compromised" part is the Slugger! 😅 But I agree. It's really nice watching reviews from people who are really educated on the matter and explain things most of us wouldn't know.
The SECOND I saw that snail on the first build, I thought to myself "There's no way that's not gonna get turned into another Rock Raiders reference". Turns out it wasn't just that, it was a reference to YOU! That's incredible man, bask in the glory all you like, you've earned it!
Oh man Slugger, I am actually not going to watch this one right away! My girlfriend and I have been saving up to buy this kit and I don't want any spoilers. I will return as soon as we have built it for ourselves!
I always love to see Dr. Cyber, Timmy and the Martians posing in the photography. It makes the videos feel authentically Slugger, idk. It’s a great touch ☺️
I was wondering about that mini slug ever since Jang reviewed it!! Big props Slugger! Glad to see the impact your work has on all of us take such an honorary physical form
That intro is a much better approach than I usually see, most of the time I just see youtubers say that "despite the fact I have a connection to this thing my opinion is 100% my own" like it doesn't still influence how they think about it. I've never seen someone point that out and then clarify to look into it more if they're making a purchasing decision. I'm surprised I don't see people do that more.
Wow, Lego finally released a Slimy Slug! Only took them twenty-four years! (And the fact that it's an intentional reference to your channel is awesome!) Also, the line about BrickLink at 3:27 is very relatable
Congrats on the slug build! That's so cool! I can't think of anyone who as a kid didn't fantasize about having an action figure of themselves, but to be immortalized as an official lego build is just amazing
8:10 when pictures of the set released, I scratched my head trying to figure out the set reference here. At first I considered Drome Racers, but I feel silly now seeing its more clear reference to Xalax Racers. Thanks!
Already watched Jang's review awhile back (love that guy) but your photography and personal insight is really informative and enjoyable as always, makes it stand on its own. Big congrats on Slugger Jr. too--its a super neat little tribute and definitely well earned
Wow! That's amazing! It's totally okay to hype up your friends and say what they made is good. Even if this review is not subjective, it is informative. I might just have to pick that up now, if I can afford it!
This was an absolute joy to watch! I really appreciate the use of various minifigures to showcase the compatability of different systems with this set! Also congratulations on the LEGO Immortalization! That's so sweet! And realizing these sets go through a long process before they're out, it means he musta been thinking of you when you channel was still just budding!
I had no idea about that slug in the C model, holy smokes! I was already eyeing this set because I liked the A model a lot, but that little detail is just so great. I'll still check a few other reviews just to be sure, as per your advice, but I think I might get this set for myself! I never could have imagined you and your channel getting an Easter Egg in an official Lego set when I first found your channel back in March last year. :)
Congratulations, that's awesome! Marin Stipkovic is amazing; the 3-in-1 Octopus is one of my favorite builds in the last year. She has a permanent spot on my desk--definitely need a Slugger mini-build so she'll have a friend...
This is great!! That's such a clever design for the slugger. Congrats for getting featured in a Lego set that way! And that designer certainly deserves the recognition cause his sets are fantastic
I just got back into lego super recently and my first set was the octopus. It may be the most enjoyable set ive ever built. This will most definitely be my second.
Am I the only one that thinks old minifigures had a distinct "Lego charm" while new ones (leaving licensed themes aside) must of the time tend to show a cocky smile or a very distinct expression? Last one being an exagerated confident or frightened expression. Love your videos! :)
This is definitely one of the current LEGO sets I most want to get! All three builds just look so darn good! And the inclusion of the mini-slugger is absolutely wonderful! I didn't know about that before watching this video, but hearing you talk about that genuinely warmed my heart!
i think this might be the best 3in1 ive ever seen honestly, the houses just look so different that itd almost be worth buying three just to have one of each >-
The spaceship toy on the second B model is clearly a Classic Lego Space reference, which is an added bonus of references in this set. Its clear Martin loves to reference both the Lego community, and past themes.
Slugger. This is deeply rad and congrats! I grew up on the early-to-late 90's Lego. Your videos make me wanna buy some old sets I had. particularly 6949. Space Spyrious Robo Gaurdian. Super cool you got nods, It's deserved.
Watching this one as I begin bags 1 & 2 of Snow White (...so with 1/2 an eye; mostly listening). The reasons for your disclaimers up front had me curious. That was a delightful twist things took and adds this to my list of sets I might like as a parts resource going forward. It certainly advanced farther ahead from this review. And made me smile bigger when the mystery was revealed :) Congrats on you Easter Egg Celebration! ♥
Don’t worry Slugger, I *already* bought this and the Roller Disco Arcade, the damage is already done. There’s nothing to be concerned about, it’s not like I’m making some sort of elaborate *Shrine for Slugger* in my room… That goes in the room my niece is staying in… this is like one of two residences in the police state that is LEGO TOWN, where all my contemporary sets and stuff goes. That’s probably not “tomato soup” in the stories I’ve seen her make up hehehe.
Great video, I'm happy you reviewed this one, it was on my buy list as soon as I saw it. I know Marin from Croatian AFOL klub that I've been a member of long time ago. Blows my mind hearing you also know him personally. Small world indeed!
A sick video about a set with sick mini builds that reference older Lego sets to watch while I'm unfortunately sick from a horrible cough, allergies, and a nasal headache. Yeah my immune system isn't that great against three things 😷 You're affiliated with the Lego group?!
I hope you’re better soon! I am not affiliated with The LEGO Group in any official capacity, no. Unofficially though, my friendship with the lead designer of this set creates a positive bias that I feel Jang would not necessarily have, which is why I recommended his videos. 😊
I must say, I do find 3-in-1 sets rather impressive. To design a set, and then be able to design two additional sets that use the exact same pieces must require tremendous amounts of planning and forethought.
Do you think designer names should be on the box? (If they want to of course) Maybe on the sides. Could be a great selling point in the same way people go see Guardians 3 because it's a James Gunn movie.
They should do what the 10497 galaxy explorer did and have the first page or two of the instruction booklet be a commemoration of the creator, with the creator giving a small description/insight of the builds
Already loved this set because of my attachment to the creator houses, but that’s awesome that it has a mini slugger inside it too! Gonna go build it now lol
Absolutely love the look of this set. When it’s on sale I’ll grab it for the collection of parts at least, as much as I appreciate the builds themselves!
I assumed you got this one for the teal roof parts, then you mention your friendship AND THEN WE SEE THE SLUGGER! 😃 That's really cool! (Also I like the long haired dad and short haired mom at 3:03, I literally know two people with those exact appearances 😆and two enbies too haha)
You know, I think it would be great if sets included the designers' names on the packaging!
I would love to see that! ❤️
I don't think Lego would do that, but I could see them doing a page on the instructions booklet
Thanks we have Brickset for that!
Yeah the message from the designer page on the galaxy explorer set was really nice (especially when it told us about the two alternate builds!)

I am surprised yet also not surprised to see you here peter.
Holy crap that big reveal at the end was wild now I have to buy the set.

I'm surprised I don't see people do that more.
Absolutely - huge pet peeve of mine. You can’t claim objectivity if The LEGO Group sent you the set for free, for example. 👍
Wow, Lego finally released a Slimy Slug! Only took them twenty-four years! (And the fact that it's an intentional reference to your channel is awesome!)
Also, the line about BrickLink at 3:27 is very relatable
Man slugger has really come far, I mean, hes (tecnacly) in a lego set! Apart from that, the set itself is pretty cool.
yeah that is such an honour, really cool stuff!
Congrats on the slug build! That's so cool! I can't think of anyone who as a kid didn't fantasize about having an action figure of themselves, but to be immortalized as an official lego build is just amazing
R.R. Slugger getting his own lego figure makes me very happy
8:10 when pictures of the set released, I scratched my head trying to figure out the set reference here. At first I considered Drome Racers, but I feel silly now seeing its more clear reference to Xalax Racers. Thanks!
At last, we can finally reside in a cozy household!
Impressive video as always, Slugger.
Already watched Jang's review awhile back (love that guy) but your photography and personal insight is really informative and enjoyable as always, makes it stand on its own. Big congrats on Slugger Jr. too--its a super neat little tribute and definitely well earned
This was an unexpectedly moving video.
Congrats on becoming an official LEGO build Slugger!!! You earned it!
Thank you! ❤️
What an honour to be depicted in a set! Great review as always too.
Thats actually crazy that you are in a official Lego set
Right? 🤯
Wow! That's amazing!
It's totally okay to hype up your friends and say what they made is good. Even if this review is not subjective, it is informative.
I might just have to pick that up now, if I can afford it!
What a fantastic set! Part #2460 in Dark Turquoise is on the cards now... I can feel it... I can almost see the tunnel scout now! haha
Here’s hoping!! 😁
I like the idea that it included a mini granite grinder just for r r slugger
Timmy with the Galidor drip XD
Well that was delightful
No one deserves it more than you! So happy for you🤙
You’ve come a long way, you can and should enjoy these milestones. 🍻
Thanks for being upfront about your perspective and congrats on being included in the set! 🎉
I'm amazed by the inclusion of the slugger. Well done overall Mr Stipkovic!
Congrats on making it into an official Lego set Sluggers, and great video as always
The little slugger is actually the cutest thing ever
6:02 your laugh is so sweet, its so cool to see yr passion
R.R. Slugger's voice is so soothing to me, I can't explain it!
A new R.R. Slugger video, time to meticulously study every single frame again🙃
ok, that little slugger is just wholesome
The mini slug??? Incredible!
Congratulations, that's awesome! Marin Stipkovic is amazing; the 3-in-1 Octopus is one of my favorite builds in the last year. She has a permanent spot on my desk--definitely need a Slugger mini-build so she'll have a friend...
HOLY HELL!!! YOU MADE IT!! I think very little UA-camrs have been ever included in official sets, it's SO, SO amazing that the best one has been now!!
Thank you! I’m still over the moon about this! 😊
@@RRSlugger I just went to buy it! Now I have my very own r.r.Slugger figure! Can't wait to build it 😁
I... I am speechless...
Congratulations, Slugger
I'm playing LEGO 2KDrive right now, and I love recreating LEGO Rock Raiders themed vehicles!
I've already assembled your Willys jeep!
That’s awesome! 😁
A SLUGGER IN THE SET!!! Might have to go get this set myself now!!!
Being a slugger fan since the beginning, this set is now a must buy for me!
I love how after "I'll be using my own minifigs" he just straight up reviews the set as of Timmy and Doctor Cyber are natural, official inclusions.
Yes, I’m already subbed to @jangbricks 😂😂
That said, ever since I built this set (And the granite grinder) I’ve been waiting for this video from you.
the slug is a legendary inclusion
R.R, Cheesey and Jnag are the holy trinity
R.R for the best editing and Production, Cheesy has the best variety of content and Jang always covers every detail!
Clearly you misspelled the latter, it's spelt Gnaj
:P
This is great!! That's such a clever design for the slugger. Congrats for getting featured in a Lego set that way! And that designer certainly deserves the recognition cause his sets are fantastic
I just got back into lego super recently and my first set was the octopus. It may be the most enjoyable set ive ever built. This will most definitely be my second.
Oh, Marin’s going to love to read this comment later! ❤️
Am I the only one that thinks old minifigures had a distinct "Lego charm" while new ones (leaving licensed themes aside) must of the time tend to show a cocky smile or a very distinct expression?
Last one being an exagerated confident or frightened expression.
Love your videos! :)

Of course you recommend Jang! Quality recognizes quality

The mini Slugger is such a sweet Easter egg
I lost it at the ninjago galidor shirt 😂
Great video, I'm happy you reviewed this one, it was on my buy list as soon as I saw it. I know Marin from Croatian AFOL klub that I've been a member of long time ago. Blows my mind hearing you also know him personally. Small world indeed!
I've been waiting for you to post a video and I'm glad you reviewing this set even if you missed some things about the set
I’m here for the Atlantis reference! Love the vids
Wow, that’s unbelievable
A sick video about a set with sick mini builds that reference older Lego sets to watch while I'm unfortunately sick from a horrible cough, allergies, and a nasal headache. Yeah my immune system isn't that great against three things 😷
You're affiliated with the Lego group?!

Get down from that roof, Slugger! You're gonna hurt yourself!
CONGRATULATIONS!!
What a delightful review! I cant imagine how happy you was when you learned you became paert of oficial Lego lore xD
I must say, I do find 3-in-1 sets rather impressive. To design a set, and then be able to design two additional sets that use the exact same pieces must require tremendous amounts of planning and forethought.
This is now a must-buy simply for the Slugger minifig
One of Lego's Best House set so far, I love the detailing and the colour scheme of the house itself, I also love the bright blue roof myself :)
*adds to cart*
Congrats on becoming Lego 3-In-1 Canon, Slugger!
I love the cabin build.
I had already bought this set 3x, but after this video I might just buy yet another copy and keep it in the box! :)
That’s commitment! 😮
Yet again, an amazing video! Always makes my Saturday mornings special!
I just got this fantastic set last weekend
must buy for the slugger easter egg
Already loved this set because of my attachment to the creator houses, but that’s awesome that it has a mini slugger inside it too! Gonna go build it now lol
I love you and your videos soo much , actual perfection imo ❤❤
I would've loved to have been recording the sounds I made during the big reveal. Squeals and claps, to say the least.
❤️❤️❤️
i'm just glad we get a creator house after so many years
Holy shit Slugger is now Lego canon.
Literally just bought Cozy House last night, really enjoyed the apartment styled build am excited to try all three!
What a great Friday!
Im so glad I found your channel thanks to Solar Sands, you are one of the best lego youtubers
3:13 Timmy and Dr. Cyber have returned from the future to evict the nuclear family living in their rental unit.
Absolutely love the look of this set. When it’s on sale I’ll grab it for the collection of parts at least, as much as I appreciate the builds themselves!
Official slugger!!!!! Get in
I don't know if anyone already said this but: if you'll ever make UA-cam shorts, you should use the mini Slugger.
Huh, I am actually a big fan of the minifigures in this one.
Love the compact detailing as well, that is always hard (for me) to do!
Just got the 3 in 1 underwater treasure by the same designer.
This is so cool!
The mini Spaceship is neat
Reminds me a bit of some of the old 80s Town houses, but with a lot more pieces.
Thats so awesome!
and here i thought you only wanted it for the Granite Grinder
Wow dude you made it. GG.
Looking at the set, it seems to have a good assortment of nice pieces in general too. :)
(Congrats on the mini Slugger, Slugger!)
I like the color scheme
