Not if your going for the million. The ask the audience lifeline is almost always useless in those upper tier questions. The 4 choices would just spread the percentages out more. You could end up with 25% across the board there. I think he did the right thing by using the 50/50 lifeline first.
@@zackq8865 I think David had an idea of the answer when the question came up. The interesting thing is that the four answers were from four different continents. If it was four counties from South America, it would have made it a harder question to answer. Yes I would've had to use a lifeline for jowls to be sure. I think we've become a lot more knowledgeable of different historical facts due to us being made aware of history in order to try not to repeat it.

To be fair this was in the year 2000 so this was the alternate choice before the internet really took off. The internet experience in 2000 was dial-up so it was VERY slow and would've been difficult to look up an answer in just 30 seconds that the lifeline gives you. Dial-up was only the way to access the internet at the time before broadband networks started up later in the 2000's and it was where some people actually used the internet to find an answer later in the show. In only a few seconds today you can google an answer and that's why they removed that life line all together in the later seasons.
