The constant zooming in on Vince’s face in black and white makes the interview looks like a meme 😂
It kinda reminds me of one of those exposed politician ads i see on TV. "Is this the man you want for mayor?"
Chris P. Bacon outstanding comment lmao
Chris P. Bacon 😂😂that’s exactly what I was thinking and found it in your comment

Vince Gilligan is such class act. He's responsible for this show, and yet he still gives credit to everyone who worked on it and is genuinely honest about what he did and didn't know. He's honestly one of my biggest artistic inspirations.
Same here.
He ript off the idea from someone else, but no one cares now
Lane Carter of course he has to give credit to his excellent writers because they deserve it as much as he does. So, I don't see that as a class act, but something that every normal decent person would do.
He's a genius
@@nismocash989 if you're referring to his friend Tom, he phoned him and asked if he could take that idea and make something out of it. His friend respectfully agreed and as a token of appreciation, he made him a writer on the show.

Apotheosis hahahahaha
Lol the zoom in is hilarious.
I wish some day I will be loved as much as the editor loves his dramatic zooms.
Whats with the black and white zoom in?
Lol true
I think to show the question again, maybe
Inexperienced video editors
Added drama effects.
I have a theory is that it's for people with short attention span.
“And I was, rightfully, voted down by my staff” man I love how he valued the input of his writers. He put the show first, not his ego.
Knock Knock.
I AM THE ONE WHO KNOCKS!
This is my own private domicile and I will not be harassed... Bitch!
Tony Soprano Oh shits going down now boi
Walter White Everyone! The Danger Is Here!
Walter White I am the one who knocks
Can I just say that this segment is very poorly edited.
I almost had to turn it off it was so bad
BinaryXioms I fucking HATED the black and white close ups
those close ups made the video look like a meme
it's almost breakingly bad.
Skinny Pete and badger edited this...
Best show on Netlix. I think you mean Best show of all time. Thank you Vince
@@nicolasdantomio289 nope, best show ever. It’s perfect. I assume your referring to the Sopranos?
@@nicolasdantomio289 ok well Breaking Bad is one and it’s not close. Perfect show from beginning to end.
@@nicolasdantomio289 so what’s one?
@@nicolasdantomio289 nah, what is it tho? If there really is one that you believe is better just say it
@@nicolasdantomio289 Lost ended terribly which takes it out of the conversation for best ever. What show are you referring to at number one? I’m on the middle of Better Caul Saul but have not finished it yet
most creative and intelligent series we have ever seen
happy nothing happened to the original creator of this show like what happened with the walking dead. and why does it keep zooming in on his face in black and white?

Breaking bad, to break bad, is an old southern expression *t h a t I h e a r d a l o t g r o w i n g u p i n m y h o m e s t a t e o f V i r g i n i a*
I don't get it
(The Benevolent Sun) The volume seems to get a little louder or just weirder during the closeups, so y'know the part of him saying that he heard it growing up was during that.
So yep, the closeups were really weird.
Or (just a thought) because Virginia isn’t really southern idk lol just thinking
@@sergioavila9690 True, and South Dakota isn't really south either.

I like how Vince is wearing the same clothes as Walt is in the poster.
yeah but the colors of the cloaths are inverted
thank you vince gilligan for gifting us with this masterpiece of a show.
did Saul's art school student friends edit this?
They can do better than this
Vince Gilligan is the Greatest off all time what he has done for television we all owe him a big THANK YOU!!!
The real question is: where is huell?
Poor guy still locked up in the house
he’s still waiting
Vince confirmed he’s still waiting
@@XxDuffnotfuddxX did He?

that's what I call a good interview!
He's starting a spin-off based on Saul Goodman's life before the series of Breaking Bad.
You're god damn right
Blair fowler
Say my name!
Yup
And it’s real good
It's even better than the original, and that's saying a lot.
Whoever did the black and white zoom in garbage on this video should be fired.
5:40 is so funny with the zoom
The volume goes up too lmaooo
"I'm glad it's become a little bit more known" Jesus, that was humble.
How can Americans not have understood the title? I'm not a native English speaker and the title was self explanatory for me.
I'm sure even people who never heard the phrase breaking bad understood it meant going bad, becoming bad etc.. but to a native speaker who never heard it sounds weird, and not a normal way to phrase that idea, not idiomatic.
I don't know why i laugh whenever it zooms in
What's up with the weird black and white close ups.
Mariguana
I wondered the same
She cheats on him right after he moves back in without her permission. She realizes that she no longer has any power in the situation and this is the only thing she can think of. Note that she doesn't really WANT to have an affair, which is why she tells Walt the day that it happens. She just wants him to know that she will fight him at all costs.
I think you smoked a bit too much of my blue, Netflix. Your editing is so off
Matthew Dice chill my browa
@ BITCH!
Your blue?? Jesse Jesse..when you say it’s YOUR blue, I really hope you don’t mean that. I created it, I taught you how to make it, it’s my blue! Mine! Not yours. Is that clear?

Have had worked with Vince on Better Call Saul I must say this man is thee greatest and most creative of minds of the past 100 years! Extremely pleasant to work beside and for, an all around genius!
Everyone involved in this show is doing God's work
"Cheer up beautiful people, this is where you get to make it right."
looking 4ward to the spinoff better call saul
bo9996 it's not good
LFTE Beats Yes it is. It's great.
Monday Green it's borin af . it has no story . the only storyline comes in at season 3
LFTE Beats If you think it has no story, then you've been paying absolutely no attention to it.
+Monday Green Thank you
This man is a god
I'm not in danger I am the danger
Archer and The Thick of It are pretty amazing. Firefly and Justified are great too. I haven't watched many others, but there's some good stuff there, although the selection isn't as good as it is in the US.
The ending was so perfect but I hate to see it end I honestly wish they would make a season 6
Are you feeling breaking bad withdrawal? Do you need to feed your indulgence more? BETTER CALL SAUL! (Seriously watch the show it starts a little slow but it's such a good addition to the universe of BB).
Casey Grae thank you kind sir!
Casey Grae Good news: Vince is making a Jesse Pinkman movie following up the show.
Is that true?
Nmpbones no the movie project has now been canceled.
How have no TV channels in the UK picked this up? I don't mind having to watch it on Netflix but it's by far the best TV show I've ever seen.
I would love to see a show with Vince Gilligan, Peter Gould and José Padilha. It would be a nice sharing knowledge experience
Vince Gilligan should be the new director of the Walking Dead. The show is gone downhill.
+Daniel Bautista - Are you still felling this way? A year ago, I would've agreed with you 100%, but I'm pleasantly surprised by this most recent season (Season 9, 1 episode to go before the finale at the time I'm writing this). Don't get me wrong, Mr. Gilligan is amazing at everything he does, but again, I'm unexpectedly pleased with the new showrunner, at least in this current season.
Daniel Bautista
No, He’d just reboot the entire show or create a new character within the same universe and tell a gripping story that’d last around 4-5 seasons. At least that he said in one of his interviews.
before you need a director, you need good writing
It’s good again
When and how did Walt poison Brock? Please someone answer :)
Vince Gilligan said at a Comic Con Q & A that the lily of the valley was ground up and put in Brock's juice box at school, but none of that was ever filmed.
But why?
Hulk Hulk To get Jesse on his side.
+tyspyranger That is all well and good and I am not trying to nitpick but i have to study 20 poisonous species native to Ireland as part of a bigger exam and trust me, it would not be possible, ground up in a drink or otherwise to get that species past someones lips and mouth without them realizing something is wrong.
It would be like drinking battery acid.
Did you study Lily of The Valley?
Just like Jesse’s voice, I could listen to Vince all day
He is so humble.
El Camino BABY!!!
I wanna hear his take on why did gus kill victor?
he killed victor because witnesses saw him. Mike asks him before he dies if anyone saw him. Victor says he did and doesn't think it's a big deal. Plus I personally feel since Jesse killed Gale to show dominance to Gus that only Walt and Jesse were the only ones who can cook, Gus showed the same thing to them but with Victor, since he claimed he knew the recipe as well.
He did it because Gus wanted to show jesse and walt that he isn't afraid of killing his right hand man and not to cross him again
As Co executive producer for the 1st season I can confirm the saying Breaking Bad was brought up by myself.
Sure you did
he had six writers, and the cast was awesome. It is hardly impossible that he will make another good show as bb.
I'm from the UK, and I love Breaking Bad, I watched it and then got the box set for my dad. He's also now addicted (a bit like a meth addiction.) Anyway, personally, why I think it didn't take off in the UK at first, is I don't think meth is a common drug here. I might be wrong, as it's probably being cooked all over since BB! But it is so well written, just when you think 'oh shit, they're gonna be killed or found out', they get away.
Why does he sound like badger 😂
Shit, he does too.
"You're God Damn Right!"
I love that you stood your ground!
it would be great question such like this. "its over on 5 season or there is still a chance that Walter is just wounded and next season will start from jail. As we know he has his contacts to people and maybe he can escape from there. ahhh my hopes will kill me so want to see next one ((
he would get killed in jail by jacks gang since he killed them but some of them were already in jail
He would prob be in a prison ja know he did some high level sgit plus he killed alot of ppl
Walt wouldn't have lived with an M60 wound if he didn't have fatal cancer lol
Vince is a genius!! Love his work!
Great video 100% thanks Vince Gilligan!
Vince is pretty cool and all, but what really keeps my attention in this video is the editing. Great job! It’s very stylistic and professional, and makes what would otherwise be a more dull and boring interview much more captivating and entertaining. I wish more videos were edited this way!
When I first heard the title I thought it was me who never heard the phrase heard Didn't know it came.from times past.Glad the title stayed along with every choice that followed.

Breaking Bad is a badass name though.
I always associated also with Baking Bread an anagram of Breaking Bad!
i like the fly episode.
It's more that Breaking Bad had to settle ,just look at how GOOD IT IS ,the maker is just purely a Genius,he created a world, that's a world Vince! Please do SOMETHING ,for us ,yes you ended it in ways, but what about the what ifs,you could even bring back people by telling a different story within..Shit I just don't wanna see such a good thing go for good,SCREW THE X FILES THEORY
I was late watching it. I watched it because my daughter told me to watch it. Lo and behold, i was on my 4th binging.
He was a teacher too! Please make another one.I will watch it even if its the Crappiest.
I remember maybe 12 years ago or something, I was watching TV and an advert for Breaking Bad airing on FX was on (I live in Scotland). It was harrowing, it was basically Walt’s confession from the pilot over what it was about. I remembered it for years and it stuck with me. I thought the show looked amazing and original and wondered what ever happened with it. Flash forward a bit and it took off on Netflix. The tv spot amazed me then and its stuck with me as the best series ever put to screen.
That happens to be my favourite show of all time, but it's not actually on Netflix in the UK. Kind of a pain in the ass, because I'd like to watch through it in HD without having to pay the added cost for Blu-Rays (which, when you buy multiple seasons, really starts to stack up), but oh well.
Hard to believe this guy created the highest rated TV show in history.
There's a lot of southernisms in the script there that seemed out of place. I live in the southwest so I noticed easily. Phrases like "break bad" "right hand to god" "A1 day". Brilliant writing. It gives the dialogue an interesting life
Best show on Netflix (at least in the UK) by a wide margin.
He's doing a Saul Goodman spin-off. Can't fucking wait.
That should be on an episode of The Orville! I don't really like the show, but I'd love to see that actually happen!
What should?
@@carrotcommunist9216 I assume the pie eating around the 7:00 mark. I don’t remember leaving this comment though, so that’s just me putting two and two together. The Orville was more comedy at the time of the comment, and the pie eating thing sounds perfectly aligned with Seth MacFarlane’s brand of humor in general.
fuck, i got so engrossed and then suddenly the video stopped.
I can't wait for his next work.
He doesn’t look like the kind of guy to make this😂
This is the lamest thing I heard. You judge talent based on face? Tf
Mr. Heisenberg didn’t say he wasn’t talented. What I meant was that he doesn’t look like someone to make a show like breaking bad
@@jonnohicks2176 according to you, how should a person look like to Make breaking bad?
Mr. Heisenberg idk, i just didn’t expect such an innocent looking guy to make a show like breaking bad
Half shot on a nice camera. Half shot on a night vision camera
The great thing about Breaking Bad is that the entire series is a ticking bomb which contains many ticking bombs... 💣
What happened to Bill Burr Character
This show Minerals!
Vince is such a genius 😏
I am a Southerner, and I've always despised the phrase "Breaking Bad" because it was used by people in my town to write off their unacceptable behavior as just 'breaking bad". Including my father, whose abuse of my mother and my siblings suddenly became much worse. My mother left, and told my father she wouldn't come back unless he changed his behavior. He did (minimally), and instead of being a father, just put physical distance between himself and his children so he wouldn't be as tempted to hurt us.
When my mother asked him why he suddenly became so abusive to her and us, he shrugged and said "I just broke bad!!" That was it. No apologies, no self examination. My mother accepted his moronic statement. He could have gone right back to his openly abusive behavior at any moment. I will never understand why that mindless non-excuse was acceptable to my mother.
Because of that idiotic phrase that Southerners use to write off their behavior, I never watched this show while it was on.
the zoom thing cracks me up
I broke bad too and i regret it

Aw dude image duffer brothers and this guy made a epic show it be like like omfg
Because NOT everybody has cable. An some of us were stuck in a contract with Dish network when they dropped AMC, and now have to wait that much longer for the show to appear on Netflix. I am very grateful for Netflix or I would of never even got to see the first past of season 5 on Netflix. An I'll probably have to wait another year before the rest of season 5 appears on Netflix.

the zooming with the bw filter makes this video look like the office mixed with witness protection
I felt like they could of made an extra season before the ending because season 5 felt extremely rushed the loose ends were tied up very we'll but it could of been better
Thereis season 6
Season 5 had two parts released over two years officially called season 5 some peole see it as season six
Season 5 was perfect whats wrong with you
i think it tied perfectly but we definitely could of had more backround on uncle jack and lydia rodarte but I dont mind season 5 I actually like that season the most.

It makes perfect sense: Tim Watley becomes a master meth cook! I guess Elaine didn’t get him after all. But where was the label maker in BB?
Exept maybe "The Wire".
I swear all you do is talk about those two shows.
For me it's a 3 way tie

The wire
Breaking bad
No particular order 👌
As a Virginian, the phrase “to break bad” is a real thing...but it’s what old people say.
Where is it from? I spent long periods of time in SW VA, NoVA (where I grew up) and the 757 and never heard it. I'm not that old either.
What a fucking genius.

You think? 🤔
Can't wait to see it.
Why won't the final 8 come out on the U S netflix every Monday ?

fact, Breaking Bad is left in Vince Gilligan's creative control. TV executives don't have any creative control, which explains a lot.
