i just bought one made by vevor, its supposed to be slightly larger inside going by the specs of each unit and i think it looks like a nice little machine if it holds up. the vevor website is selling them for under 400$, im going to be modding it a little bit and using it as a glass kiln for lampworking, if anyone is looking for a cheap kiln i suggest grabbing one if they end up being any good, im sure the price will go up once people start buying them.

I still like mine, but one a little bigger would have been nice :)

@@badideametals for sure I looked at the one you got, then seen vevor just released a nice looking one that basically the same for half the price. I am just using mine for annealing marbles so it's good enough size for now but plan on building my next one. Kilns are Wayyy to expensive for what they are. I'm glad your is working out and still kicking, fingers crossed mine does the same

Once I got moved used to how to program the kiln, it is pretty nice. It is a little small though. But if the size does not bug you, I like it enough to recommend it.

If it were larger, do you think the energy consumption would be economical enough to ash IC chips?

Maybe not economical ... but ecologically more friendly (it takes hours of burning wood in a fire ring) ... unless I want to blast them in my furnace with a propane blower ... that may work out to be the cheapest and most earth friendly if I am being totally honest. I just don't want to stand over my forge or fire ring for hours as the temperatures are unregulated. And at 1500W, this new kiln will be a little bit of a price tag for me to run for hours as well...
So, there is still a lot of thinking and planning for me on this. But making smoke in the yard, and smelling like I went camping in the middle of the week just is not going to cut it for me, my family, and all those I work with for the rest of the week :)

I am not sure what options are available. I am in the US, so the basic model has a 120V plug.

Tengo un horno de esos y ni el año tiene, y marca un montón de EEEE cuando lo enciendo y no sube la temperatura

I am sorry you are having trouble with your furnace/kiln. I like mine, but it is a bit small. I have don't love the programming interface. Good luck.
