I'm not against it, but I feel like UA-camrs going into depth about their personal religious backgrounds kind of leaves out people that aren't of their faith. A lot of people aren't Christian, including me. Don't get me wrong, I still thought this was interesting, but I just couldn't relate to it.
+Talia E I think it's good so that people who are of the same faith can relate. Just because you don't relate to one person doesn't mean you can't relate to another UA-camr (considering there are so many haha)
+Anna Asdfghjkl Yeah, I agree! I'm definitely not against UA-camrs sharing their religion, and I think it's great that people can relate to them because of it! I was just saying that I personally didn't but I don't relate to a lot of UA-camrs for a lot of reasons
youtubers sharing their faith is also a very good way to educate people on different religions in general, i think it would be an interesting way to get to see sort of behind the media's portrayal of different religions, and a stepping stone towards accepting different beliefs.
I wish more UA-camrs would openly speak about their religion. I'm a Christian turned atheist, and because of my personal experiences, I tend to negatively judge Christians. Having people I've built respect for (like you) tell me they're Christian really opens my mind. If only sharing controversial opinions wasn't so taboo. :/
I totally agree. I'm a Christian and I honestly would just love a chill chat just to know how other people see the world but most of the time people get so extremely defensive.
This is such a good video!!! As a Christian seeing youtubers talk about it makes me feel so happy! I've been to soul survivor this year and the past 2 years it's so amazing that's he's been too!!
I spent most of my middle school- high school years being super involved in my youth group (non denominational Christian) and I really miss it sometimes! I have never felt so loved, supported and had so much fun in my life! Also having a leadership role for most of that time really allowed me to form lasting friendships with kids much younger than me and it formed a big passion for teenagers and the things they deal with. We were a very laid back group that really based its self on loving each other, ourselves and god in a deep way. I still have a very close relationship with my youth pastor and his wife, they practically raised me. I wouldn't trade those yrs for anything :)
Being so involved and mentored also helped me develop life long skills, like public speaking, leadership, compassion and empathy and so many others. I hate the way Christianity is portrayed by so many, it gives the rest of us a bad rap. I believe the god I serve would rather me show you love and kindness than to tell you you are going to hell or discriminate against you *cough Republican Party cough* BUT THATS JUST ME
I agree, Professor Dumbledore, though I'm surprised you could make time for watching this video! I thought you were busy, with the whole death thing :p
I find it so amusing that he said Baptists are more youth-friendly and "dancey" because one thing that separates Baptists from other forms of Christianity in the Bible Belt of the US is that they're not allowed to dance.
TheDerpyBox I'm in Alabama and neither of the Baptist churches in my town dance. They are super not into it. I think you can dance on your time, just not in the church or Fellowship Hall.
I think you're referring to Southern Baptists, who don't believe in dancing as you said. Many Baptist churches outside of that are fine with dancing and other things not allowed by Southern Baptists. There was a woman at my church who grew up not being allowed to dance, play card games (seen as gambling), or even paint her nails. She doesn't believe those things are bad now.
John Smith Well, most churches (including mine) adhere to the "don't drink, and don't gamble" ideology, but see "don't dance" as old fashioned. Especially since many people in the Bible danced as a form of worship to God.
amen lol theres some stuff out there like this but you usually have to dig through alot to find respectful people in podcasts casually talking about halarious things that churches do
there plenty of stuff that doesn't involve bagging on Christianity they just so happen to be either unrelated topic or propaganda mills trying to convince you the world is 600 years old
I go to catholic school and last year we spent six weeks being told that we should never drink alcohol, which is when I came up with the phrase, THE CATHOLIC CHURCH, ENCOURAGING WINE SINCE WE WERE NINE
Church and Jesus is always such a sensitive topic to touch especially in public. But you guys are awesome for being able to share your experiences like this! :)
Glad you had a decent experience with church. I never cared for it. It was to superficial for me, especially seeing the way people acted in church compared to in the real world. Always rubbed me the wrong way.
bea yea an honestly from a young age, like even 8, I didn't believe all the stories and stuff. I would just think, that didn't happen lol that doesn't make sense.
I wonder if anyone in 2000 years will pick up Harry Potter and mistake it for non-fiction and start believing that we were all wizards and make us Gods... God I hope so
Most churches are willing to send someone to give you a ride so I suggest just hit up a local church or ask a friend! If you're parents don't like it just say you're hanging out with friends which is what you will be doing. If you don't find the perfect church right away don't be discouraged!
Check out Alpha- they are a really cool alpha.org I know a lot of people who have done Alpha courses and really enjoyed them. Never be afraid to learn new things. Even if you decide it's not for you, it's never a bad thing to learn about other people's beliefs.
Your family is irrelevant when it comes to spirituality. If you want to be buddies4eternity with the Almighty Space Hobo that's your decision and no-one can take that from you. As long as you aren't hurting or forcing your will on someone else you have every right to believe what you believe and practice what you practice.
This makes me feel so happy. I'm so glad that you felt comfortable enough to talk about this on the internet. Especially with how people think of Christians now a days. A lot of experiences lined up with your guys' in the video, too! Thank you for sharing. Makes me feel accepted in a weird way, being a Christian and stuff. And.... Yeah
Loved this Evan, I've been waiting for you to have a proper talk about your spiritual beliefs. I also grew up Episcopalian - and my sister is now a vicar at a COE church in South London. Keep on keeping it real, and know you have subscribers who value and appreciate your openness!
I feel so awkward watching this too lol. I'm so glad that Luke and Evan aren't the type of bible quote Instagram caption type though because that annoys me
Just want to say how much I appreciate Luke and Evan as two people just having a chat about essentially how they grew up. I am personally not religious due to a lot of morals of the church that I don't agree with however, I have always recognized that it's not all churches that have these views and I think that representation of having a supportive community as a young person is so important. Thank you both for just having a chat and for it to be enjoyable for even someone like me who doesn't believe in faith. You guys are the best.
As a Christian I love this video and hearing the differences and your views on everything. Also boy do I wish my church sang Twenty One Pilots songs. 😂😂
AN ATHEIST IS JUST A PERSON WHO DOES NOT BELIEVE IN A DEITY / GOD... NO NEED TO BE GOOD AT SCIENCE... I WOULD RECOMMEND LOOKING AT THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF ATHEISM... (sorry for caps didn't notice :-p)
My friends gave me a framed picture of Mike for my birthday last year! Soul Survivor genuinely changed my life and my whole outlook on my faith! I was working onsite at Soul Survivor Scotland and it was so amazing to see it from another perspective!
I discovered your channel through Dodie's videos and I ABSOLUTELY FELL IN LOVE WITH IT and wow, those puns are on poiny you are indeed the prince of puns!!
+Haru Ka I found Dodie's channel first because of Jon Cozart, but I never actually went to her channel and watched her videos.... And then I found Evan's channel, and then I re-found Dodie's channel and now I'm obsessed with their content.
Growing up going to church this definitely hit a lot of nostalgia spots!! Although I was raised Baptist from birth to age 12 and I think I would've rather been a Baptist in the UK it was boring AF here in the Bible Belt! Then I switched to a non-denominational church and it was exactly like Luke's description!
+Poe357 Oh yeah! There are definitely fun Baptist churches out there! If you live in the Midwest they're mostly in the big cities but I live in rural Missouri and the closest "big city" is 45 minutes away! So I was definitely stuck in the boring Baptist category! If you would've told 10 year old me that a fun church existed I would have definitely thought the devil was tempting me!!
Karissa Lund is it true that the U.K. Isn't very Christian anymore? I see on a lot of other Christian youtubers videos that people say no one in the U.K. Is really christian anymore. Like it's uncommon
I'm a gay and trans Catholic (I know) and, weirdly enough, my church is a lot like what Evan described. Everyone's so chill and doesn't care; they really just want to make people happy, they're the only people that have been with me through all my changes throughout the years. It's really different than every other Catholic church I've experienced, I guess I'm lucky. Thank you guys for making this video, I appreciate UA-camrs opening up about their faith :)
God made you as you are for a reason, and He loves you! It’s so cool to hear that your community supports you, I wish every Christian thought like this! God bless xx
Be careful. No church including the Catholic Church will give you eternal life. Only Jesus will. No one else was perfect to be able to die for the wrong you and I have done. And “if any man is in Christ he is a new creation. The old has gone. The new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17
I love this video! I'm also a Christian and I love how open you two talked about your faith and church. I think it's good to share information like this, you never know how it could help anyone :)
i remember once i was praying for this girl at soul survivor & she started rocking and i was terrified she was about to fall i literally stopped praying for her & started praying that she wouldn't fall incase i dropped her 😂
I try to be as strong as I can in my faith, but my parents also taught me some things differently than they are written exactly in the Bible. Like, I'm completely supportive of the LGBTQ+ community, my whole family LOVES Harry Potter and fantasy, etc. So, while I'm a strong Catholic Christian I was taught to be very open??? Because I believe God loves everyone. Did that make sense??
The problem with what you are talking about is if sinning is a choice then being gay isn't a sin. Abortion is very important, as if women are raped they don't need to take care of a baby that they are not ready for, contraception is also important as humans don't just have sex to reproduce, they do it because of enjoyment not to mention people still want to have sex but they don't want to have a baby. Not everyone wants a tiny human that's incredibly stupid and screams at everything.
+Amzer all Christians don't have the same views and I agree with you and I'm a Christian, being gay is not a sin and I will never think it is! , hate is not how most Christians want to be known for! Jesus taught love is most important in the bible Matthew chapter 22 verse 37
+kittieconvoy even the Catholic Church advises condoms to poor families in LEDCs incase if HIV and having too many children with not enough money. The recent pope has recently released a statement about this
This is sooooo different to Mass for me! For one we just go to Mass each week and pray at home at night and that's it. I think it's because I'm Catholic and Catholic's are more "serious". If you know what I mean.
I was born a Catholic and went to a catholic primary at the age of 14 I moved church to one similar to their second churches, look around for churches that might be more up your street but I still love my catholic community and God is in all churches!!
Loved hearing you chat about your experiences and I was quite surprised that they were so much alike. Really cool to hear about this stuff since I don't go to church. This was a really nice video!
my church is like a Beyonce concert... I'm not kidding...though sometimes I'm just there like what is going on because everyone is like "PRAISE THE LORD JESUS!" and like jumping up and down...and its not like there are young people in there...the youth go upstairs ...but I like stay down cuz idk its just nicer 😂 anyway...like, these people are like 60 years old and dancing like there is no tomorrow 😂😂😂
"Can't just pick and choose". Damn, what a way to find out that Evan's church back in America was for slavery and against wearing clothes made of different materials.
Oh my god! Speak in tongues, assembles, music yeah! Im a Renovation Catholic and we do that! Like a lot of the things that you talk about for the first time I feel identified , i loved when I used to go to the church stuff :) . This was such a lovely video, to been able to see this side of both of you , good one!
I was at a youth club I got dragged to by a friend. Seemed all normal and fine then they brought us to a room and started discussing the sins of sex before marriage and homosexuality and I oh no should've seen this coming aha
My friend got banned from a church due to her being gay so she wore a I'm gay get over it shirt & rainbow flag to the church then popped a rainbow party popper & ran out the door yelling your all going to hell, it was a great day xD
Loved this guys. God bless you"ll. From Anglican church but have spent sundays in modern churches too. The traditional Brit or European hymns are so divine and classy. Testimonies in Pentecostal churches are so encouraging.Enjoyed the fellowship in all churches though. Love from Bangalore, India.
Whether one uses the word "blame" or not depends on whether one believes the religious upbringing to be negative or not. But the result is still the same, for the vast majority of people, the only reason they adhere to a certain religion is the family they were born into, and thus, the parents, and their parents, and their parents, etc, are to "blame".
I can't help but get brainwashing vibes from what is described in the video :P. But you're right, many people get doubts and decide to leave their religion. I just feel like many people would make different decisions if they weren't confronted with the possibility of joining a religion until they were in their twenties.
I honestly loved my youth group so much when I was in middle school. I still go to the same church now actually, but holy crap, there was so many kids there. There was upwards of 100-200 kids. It was scary. I remember we would start by playing a team activity in the auditorium for about half an hour, then we would go upstairs and sing our jesus songs, and then we would have small group. I learned a lot from those days; I still remember a lot of the lessons that were taught. I'm really thankful that I went to the youth group that I did. It was a lot of fun.
weird, I didn't know there were that many christian UA-camrs/people in the comments, and I definitely had no idea Evan was christian. I myself am atheist, but if religion makes your life better, then do what makes you happy :)
It's really refreshing to see youtubers openly talking about their faith. I identify with the Covenant denomination, although the church I go to is Baptist because there are no Covenant churches nearby. I live in the buckle of the bible belt, so there are lots and lots of baptist, methodist, and protestant churches nearby. I go to a church camp in the UP (Michigan) that's loads of fun. It's great because we all get really enthusiastic during worship. Once I lost a shoe during a particularly intense song.
Before, when I had to go, we only got one retreat and we "went" to the same place we normally go to in the church and we HAD to stay from 10am-5pm ON A SATURDAY!
In my church when we had confirmation some of the girls wanted to have the song from 'Titanic' to be sung, so we got that into the service, so the boys wanted to have the Star Wars tune, and I'm not lying, this was being played on the organ when we walked into the church the day of our confirmation.
My problem with christianity and religious people is that they don't even question it. It's like as if all the scientific knowledge and logic they've apprehended over the years, flies out the window. The bible was written 2000 years so how is it any way applicable nowadays.. I'll never understand how people can have faith. It's...dumb ?
I see your point, but I think it's unfair to call religion dumb. As an atheist studying psychology, I used to think similarly to you, but scientifically people having a religious belief makes sense as it helps with a primal fear: the fear of death. As nearly all religions have some form of afterlife, it makes people fear death a little less, and I suppose it's comforting. Also, others' become attached to the sense of community (as this video shows), which also makes sense as we are naturally social beings. So people having a form of faith isn't dumb, it's a human creation created to help people with natural fears, wants and worries, and I think on a small scale it works well. It helps people get over traumatic events in their lives, helps child learn etc. The only time I'd say religion is 'dumb' is when it's used to hurt others (eg. wars, terrorism, hate speech/crimes). That's not only dumb, but it has caused some of the most awful events in history, and some of the most heart-breaking modern human-disasters. But individuals having some kind of faith isn't dumb, it's understandable and I don't see that as in anyway wrong (in fact it can be a very positive aspect in someone's life). :)
The reason there are so many versions of a certain faith is because people questioned their religion. Methodists, Catholics, Lutherans. So what if the bible was written 2000 years ago. it wasn't right to kill or steal from someone 2000 years ago, it's not right to kill or steal from someone today.
I'm a Christian and I've questioned my faith many times. I adore maths and sciences so I've always found it difficult to balance faith and science together. I've gone through phases of completely believing science, and then completely believing the Bible. Nowadays, where I've read books and articles about faith and science, I've found answers that balance both sides. For example, I don't think the Big Bang just came from nowhere. If you think about it, it doesn't really make sense. A giant explosion that shaped every single thing we know today just appearing out of literally nowhere for no reason? I find it hard to wrap my head around, as do the best scientists we know today. So how about this version instead: an omnipotent God perfectly and delicately engineered an entire universe using the Big Bang. It's not ignoring the Bible, where it says God created the world, but it's not ignoring fact and science either. It's found a perfect balance of faith and science to help us understand this world a little better. I hope what I've written makes sense, and you can begin to see the other side of the story. If you have any questions on Christianity and science then please ask! I'd love to try and answer them (I'm in no way an expert in the topics though aha) :D
I was raised in a non religios family, so never went to church, this sounds so strange to me ha. I'm atheist, so is my dad while my mum and my sister are agnostic. Straight up non religious family, ha. Though I have always been interested in learning about religion despite not believing in its teachings, so I enjoyed this video :)
Religion is damaging but Jesus is life !!! Read a bible ! Men invented religion but God gave us JESUS not a religion '' for God so loved the world that he gave his one son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life '' Jhon 3:16
Lol you wrote this a year ago but I guess some of us or most of us I have no idea dont really see christianity as a religion but as a relationship. Because it's not like we just worship him and talk to him and he doesnt respond and nothing happens. But it's cool that your intrested
I look around all the time and see the world falling apart around us and it's makes me feel relieved to come into any social media and see people openly talk about there faith
as someone who wasn't brought up in a church this just sounds totally bizarre
hahhaha same
Ikr lmao
I thought these things only happened in movies and weird UA-cam documentaries

+G Thomas yes. Don't judge me
I love that there was a church that plays twenty one pilots. I feel like so many people aren't aware that Tyler and Josh are very religious
and some of their songs reflect that.

Evan! loving that jacket on you!
very jacked
Paul Anderson very jack(et)ed
I keep feeling like I'm meant to be a Christian and go to church but my family is sooooo anti-religion :(
You can do as you choose, you just might need to be brave. It's your choice really. X
Explore it for yourself, your choice not your families. It's a personal thing between you and God

+Rumer Priestly found you again i wasnt stalking i promise
+ericat hahahahaha, hiya
why am i watching this i'm agnostic
loved the video anyway tho :p
+stephanie kyra is it weird I've always been atheist but I went to a church group but mostly we just messed about played hide and seek and partied
Because it intrigues what it's like to grow up a religious environment, I personally never went to Sunday Church or school etc. things.
because it's good to hear about other people's beliefs :))
Same
I know I would love that so much

Yaass!!
+Zvbf 00 Good lad
I was JUST going to type that lol
I dislike religion bringing me up in schools. I don't like how it's made me feel today
I try to be atheist but I was rubbish at science
I try to be atheist but I was rubbish at science
You don't have to be good at Science to be Athiest.
Thats kind of like me saying I need to be good at RE/RS to be Christian.
+David Lance you dont need to be good at science to be an athiest
AN ATHEIST IS JUST A PERSON WHO DOES NOT BELIEVE IN A DEITY / GOD... NO NEED TO BE GOOD AT SCIENCE... I WOULD RECOMMEND LOOKING AT THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF ATHEISM... (sorry for caps didn't notice :-p)
I just want to thank you guys for this
OMG LUKE WENT TO SOUL SURVIVOR IVE BEEN TWO TIMES IT IS THE BEST THING EVER MIKE PILOVACHI IS BAE !!
Same
That's so cool my cousin is a youth leader there !!
I've been there so many times :') it's the best thing!!! Was so happy Luke said he went. AND YES MIKE PILOVACHI IS BAE!!!
My friends gave me a framed picture of Mike for my birthday last year! Soul Survivor genuinely changed my life and my whole outlook on my faith! I was working onsite at Soul Survivor Scotland and it was so amazing to see it from another perspective!
I love soul survivor too!! just went a few weeks ago 😊😊 great to hear about more people enjoying it
I discovered your channel through Dodie's videos and I ABSOLUTELY FELL IN LOVE WITH IT and wow, those puns are on poiny you are indeed the prince of puns!!
*point
+Haru Ka
I found Dodie's channel first because of Jon Cozart, but I never actually went to her channel and watched her videos.... And then I found Evan's channel, and then I re-found Dodie's channel and now I'm obsessed with their content.
this is so lovely to watch, im a christian too and i love seeing youtubers being open about things like this
Evan looks on point this video like the hair and that jacket, damn boy
I really enjoy this series, and I also really appreciate the way Evan and the people on his channel discuss religion and church.
I go to an awesome Baptist Church. We're not boring in the slightest! (although I am in the north of the US of A)
+Poe357 Oh yeah!
+Karissa Lund you can find fun Baptist churches in the middle of nowhere too! that's what mine is I live in the middle of nowhere NC 😂
God has given you a challenge. He is likely calling you to the celibate life. Do not conform to the world and commit mortal sin.
God made you as you are for a reason, and He loves you! It’s so cool to hear that your community supports you, I wish every Christian thought like this! God bless xx
You feel the liberty to read your Bible for yourself and decide for yourself how to live your life. I’m glad you have a supportive church!
that's my experience with catholicism too, glad to hear other people are getting good out of it :)
The jacket has taken Evan to a new level, he's officially become a new person with the advanced quiff and silk bomber jacket
Reminds me of Grease
WAIT WTF THERE IS A FRICKIN BODY MOVING IN THE BACKGROUND AND HARAMBE IS FRICKIN THERE AM I TRIPPING BALLS
wait its luke dw maybe i am triping balls
i remember once i was praying for this girl at soul survivor & she started rocking and i was terrified she was about to fall i literally stopped praying for her & started praying that she wouldn't fall incase i dropped her 😂
Soul survivor is honestly the best thing ever!
+joanna Clark same 😉
Week B FTW!
Finally a video that makes youth group sound normal
I USED TO PRAY EVERY NIGHT THAT POKEMON WERE REAL TOO IM DEAD
I am exactly like you like are you sure we don't have the same family omg
Faith G who are you saying that to?
Also I just want to say in Ireland we go to school at 8:50-3:35. And our holidays start in June and end in September so BOOM.
I'm Catholic too but our youth group does really fun stuff like snow tubing, kayaking, and games. We are still "serious" but we have fun too.
I was born a Catholic and went to a catholic primary at the age of 14 I moved church to one similar to their second churches, look around for churches that might be more up your street but I still love my catholic community and God is in all churches!!
catholicism kind of has more structure. especially because we have the pope and a whole system to back it up.
yeah I went to a Catholic Church when I was younger, then moved to other more modern churches that had live music and stuff and they're so different!
Yes Evan! thank you for explaining why we still need to learn and read from the old testament as well as the new testament.
BOI YOUR CHURCH SINGS TWENTY ONE PILOTS IM GONNA LITERALLY MOVE TO LONDON AND CONVERT FROM BAPTISM TO GO TO THAT CHURCH
only just discovered you from lukes video, but you seem really awesome and I'm exited to watch your other content!
yay!
Loved hearing you chat about your experiences and I was quite surprised that they were so much alike. Really cool to hear about this stuff since I don't go to church. This was a really nice video!
Actually heavily dislike Christianity
I'm sure I know why but can I ask why?
+Mimi k past experiences is all
k then
+kittieconvoy as a matter of fact I just really dislike the religion like most organised religion really
+Erin Durrant for most "real" Christians it is not an organised religion but a faith and a personal relationship with God, I hope this might of helped
Haven't watched this yet but know I'll love it
Thank you UA-cam for letting me be early
Well no one has watched it yet, its a 16 minuet video it was posted 3 minuets ago lol
Don't you mean on time?
Sorry I'll leave
+PhilLester 2001 well I'm that person who has to be like IM (almost) FIRST
my church is like a Beyonce concert... I'm not kidding...though sometimes I'm just there like what is going on because everyone is like "PRAISE THE LORD JESUS!" and like jumping up and down...and its not like there are young people in there...the youth go upstairs ...but I like stay down cuz idk its just nicer 😂 anyway...like, these people are like 60 years old and dancing like there is no tomorrow 😂😂😂
aidyl sllim I Wish Melville NKALUBO Be Good in Stonehill Road 47 Leigh On Sea Home Be Good England I Want Poeple Read Word be good School Leigh On Sea
Yesss it's so good
"Can't just pick and choose". Damn, what a way to find out that Evan's church back in America was for slavery and against wearing clothes made of different materials.
the way it's taught, the new testament makes the old obsolete! But it's still important to get like the good messages and stuff out of the old
I see! Thanks for the clarification.
Oh my, Evan, the lighting in this is glorious. Ten points to Ravenclaw.
I went to a welsh school and we had to say the Lord's Prayer in welsh and I only remembered the last bit so I just spoke gibberish until the end 😂😂
If you're an atheist or follow another religion, it's pretty much "fuck you" in welsh schools.
"hi I'm Tyler Joseph, praise Jesus" - my new life motto
Brittish vs American:Childhood toys
Oh my god! Speak in tongues, assembles, music yeah! Im a Renovation Catholic and we do that! Like a lot of the things that you talk about for the first time I feel identified , i loved when I used to go to the church stuff :) . This was such a lovely video, to been able to see this side of both of you , good one!
Luke, Evan, TØP, and Harambe. yay.
Yes.
That's what everyone needs in life
when they said they sing twenty one pilots
I was like
YAS PRAISE JESUS
I WILL GO TO CHURCH
Hearing UA-camrs talking about my Jesus is the highlight of my day. Woo!
I really enjoy this bc a lot of youtubers don’t like talking about religion. I love the casual chat about the differences
I was at a youth club I got dragged to by a friend. Seemed all normal and fine then they brought us to a room and started discussing the sins of sex before marriage and homosexuality and I oh no should've seen this coming aha
All those innocent songs, it's just too good to be true.
My friend got banned from a church due to her being gay so she wore a I'm gay get over it shirt & rainbow flag to the church then popped a rainbow party popper & ran out the door yelling your all going to hell, it was a great day xD
Wonderland 2097 They should've put on UA-cam.
+Paul Anderson I know right, but no one had a camera then we only carried flip phones & a iPod lol
Omg I’m going soul survivor literally tomorrow, and I didn’t even realise this was a video 😫🤣
Loved this guys. God bless you"ll. From Anglican church but have spent sundays in modern churches too. The traditional Brit or European hymns are so divine and classy. Testimonies in Pentecostal churches are so encouraging.Enjoyed the fellowship in all churches though.
Love from Bangalore, India.
my church played capture the flag all the time!!!
omg best church
We did that too! also used to play it at night with glow sticks
oh why did they stop. (yes I a. that one guy)
Im a Muslim but this is still very interesting
Im jewish and same
I was raised Catholic:Deus Vault
All my family have been atheists for generations and this is very interesting to me.
I've just remembered why I've become a Christian! Thank you for this video!
I am always flabbergasted by young religious people
Yeah they're a bit weird. But you can only blame the parents.
+Chancellor Meow why would you blame the parents? It's the persons choice??
Whether one uses the word "blame" or not depends on whether one believes the religious upbringing to be negative or not. But the result is still the same, for the vast majority of people, the only reason they adhere to a certain religion is the family they were born into, and thus, the parents, and their parents, and their parents, etc, are to "blame".
I can't help but get brainwashing vibes from what is described in the video :P. But you're right, many people get doubts and decide to leave their religion. I just feel like many people would make different decisions if they weren't confronted with the possibility of joining a religion until they were in their twenties.
+Joanna Clark 100% agree
I honestly loved my youth group so much when I was in middle school. I still go to the same church now actually, but holy crap, there was so many kids there. There was upwards of 100-200 kids. It was scary. I remember we would start by playing a team activity in the auditorium for about half an hour, then we would go upstairs and sing our jesus songs, and then we would have small group. I learned a lot from those days; I still remember a lot of the lessons that were taught. I'm really thankful that I went to the youth group that I did. It was a lot of fun.
is that harambe in the backround?
yep, it is
when you reply to yourself
Diego Lievanos its because im lonley
+delanie lippert me
weird, I didn't know there were that many christian UA-camrs/people in the comments, and I definitely had no idea Evan was christian. I myself am atheist, but if religion makes your life better, then do what makes you happy :)
PastL 0&8
Thank you so much for sharing this! It's so cool to see people in the media sharing their faith. Thanks Evan!
Please can you do a British vs USA perceptions on Brexit??
I'm not religious myself but I found this really interesting! :)
Yes! I want my church to sing top songs. I listened to "Lord of Glory" and it's such a nice song.
LUKE'S BEEN TO SOUL SURVIVOR! Used to go there all the time, Now I go to the slightly older version! Aw yay!
+Kathryn Mackintosh I went to soul survivor it's so cool that he's been!!!
In my church when we had confirmation some of the girls wanted to have the song from 'Titanic' to be sung, so we got that into the service, so the boys wanted to have the Star Wars tune, and I'm not lying, this was being played on the organ when we walked into the church the day of our confirmation.
Are you going to do a flat tour?
next week! :D
+Evan Edinger yayauyaysytbjkddp
swag
this video looks so nice and I have no clue why
all about my NEW LIGHTING! :D (in Luke's room but NEXT WEEK!)
Nah, its Harambe in the background.
oh cool!
+
I went to soul survivor this year was my second year and it's literally the same as what luke said.. IT'S AMAZING
everyone's saying how they're christian and i'm just looking at the harambe on the computer
My problem with christianity and religious people is that they don't even question it. It's like as if all the scientific knowledge and logic they've apprehended over the years, flies out the window. The bible was written 2000 years so how is it any way applicable nowadays..
I'll never understand how people can have faith. It's...dumb ?
Nope. you're basically living oxymoron and I wont take you seriously.
+Malicious Me You say you'll never understand faith, yet you refuse to take us seriously? I believe you maybe be living an oxymoron, my friend.
6:50 it's funny watching people trying to catch others when they pray lol
I was raised in a non religios family, so never went to church, this sounds so strange to me ha. I'm atheist, so is my dad while my mum and my sister are agnostic. Straight up non religious family, ha. Though I have always been interested in learning about religion despite not believing in its teachings, so I enjoyed this video :)
Piper charms same here, though I do think a lot of religion is damaging.
But it's cool that your intrested
you have a relationship with an imaginary friend who talks to you in your head...?
Jesus was pretty dank😂👍
Soul Survivor is lit 💕😂
Hell yeah
I'm so happy to see youtubers being open about being Christians!! I never see this it's amazing!
"heaven deadinger" The moment I died laughing.
You should do Christianity vs. Catholicism.
Catholicism *is* Christianity. It's just one denomination of Christianity.
+IceMetalPunk it is against one of the commandments and against Christ himself. Glory to God, no mortal man or woman.
I look around all the time and see the world falling apart around us and it's makes me feel relieved to come into any social media and see people openly talk about there faith
