You obviously hinted to having a fire, as soon as I saw the wood pile on top the fire box I knew that was gonna be your fire. Glad you caught it quick!

Thank goodness that your garage didn’t burn down! Loved seeing your updates video. I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday. Can’t wait to see the next video.

So glad you guys are ok and the garage. That's a real bummer the stove was cool while it lasted. We have an electric fireplace with shelves in front of our real fireplace in our house. And everytime I flip the button on the remote I am the happiest. Glad you got a heater. Its cool you can do your reviews in the garage during winter and stay warm with the new heater. And the way back yard is like a park very beautiful with the trees. Thanks for the video. Brenda

Wow! You got lucky! If that guy wouldn't have been driving by and saw the smoke you would have lost your garage. I've been heating with wood for 20 years and the stoves get hot. The top of that stove was probably 400° and the heat transferred right through the fire brick to the wood. If you would have stacked the wood up somewhere along the side wall in the garage to dry over a couple weeks it would have been just fine. I would keep the wood stove though. As you have discovered, nothing feels better when it gets cold than a wood stove.

Yes wood can ignite without a spark once it reaches its flashpoint. I don’t know what that temperature is without looking it up but apparently it is low enough to catch wood on fire sitting on a wood stove.

I wouldn't keep any gas cans in the garage using the wood burner. The vapors can combust. Or any other equipment run by gasoline especially if they are vented to the air. They make gas hot water tanks with flash screens on the bottom. And have safety mechanisms that will snap the opening shut and cut off the flame if vapors burn in the bottom of the water heater.

The firebrick is going to get pretty much as hot as the stove sitting on it for a good while. The firebrick can withstand high temperatures before being destroyed like a regular brick without melting or cracking.

Yep as we were watching the video and saw the wood on top of the stove. I said to my wife he's going to burn the garage down. Wood burners are nice but you need clearance from combustible materials. That's why they put the block wall around the stove. Of course, wood will burn on top of a wood burner.

Yes I was a firefighter and it's called the triangle all you need is oxygen fuel and heat and you had all three of those and it will ignite without a spark because when we were in the forestry or the fire that's why things would catch fire across the way because the amount of heat that some of the forest fires that were going off

Yes - magnifying glass can ignite paper - wood is used to make paper ... no flame, just heat ... guess is 350 degrees

I was thinking about that when I saw wood on there. One time we had a wood burner ad I put one piece of wood! Had the pipe cherry red way up! As soon as I put it on the fire!

I am with you. I could never understand how using firewood to heat was worth the time, trouble and expense. You are better off with a pellet stove or good grade coal if you can still get it.

🤣😂 I love you guys!! Mike, no googling here, but my answer was “apparently so” 😮 I know it wasn’t funny, but all the comments you overlaid during the video, leading up to the “event”….when it actually happened, I had to sorta laugh. Glad you’re ok, the garage is ok, not to mention Heidi’s car, cuz I’m thinking that would not be good if it had burned, yikes 😳 Be careful in the future 🥰

New LED lights are very sensitive to heat, even in normal use any heat above ambient will cause them to overheat - in your case you were quite a bit above ambient ... old LED lights were built much better with respect to heat sinks, metal enclosures to remove heat, etc.

The reason some stuff melted and some didn’t may have something to do with the type of plastic the things that melted were made from. The melting point varies with the type of plastic along with where it got the hottest in the room.

Yes it would make it nicer, but it does work. I agree use it when it works when it doesn't fix it lol.

It's likely just the 100 amp main breaker the panel came with if it is intended by the manufacturer to be a main service instead of a sub panel.

I would assume it can combust the same way Hay and Alfafa do if packed wrong when stacking ! Never saw wood stacks do it, but then it's generally outside with air flow .

Energized tower, not good lol. Pole barn good to store lots of junk, that way you keep garage for parked car. 87yo man is so nice! Yes, a paved RV spot would be nice. You have enough land. You need to get rid of the woodstove. Losing your data sucks! Fire can be dangerous, could have been worse! Mike, I love you too much to make fun of your failures, I send hugs instead. Hugs for Heidi too cause I miss her. 🤗 Yeah Mike, put a body cam on Heidi, so we can see the BS she has to deal with at work, it would be funny to see her set those monkeys straight!

I use a wood pellet stove to heat my garage. There's no room to park a car with my wood working equipment.

At about 450 degrees wood will be begin to char and then ignite after a few hours. It there was dust it will happen sooner.

Please get the cardboard boxes away from wood burner & check with insurance!!!! They might tell you they require that way. And let it go out & check the whole pipe going out & clean out before lighting again! My neighbor burnt his whole garage/barn down cause didn’t listen to how to vent and etc. I only trying to help! My thoughts only! Keep making videos 👍 only when you ask for thought will I share with you! After all GO Bucks!!!!

Don’t trust tick tracers they are very inaccurate they can get a person hurt bad
Make sure your out door light had a good ground also check wiring in light that there is not bare copper showing and you have good connections kill power at breaker and ohm out the wires
There will be power up to the photo cell until it closes the circuit to make a complete loop
Hope this helps your trouble shooting
