Yes, she was quite shy, but her improvement is amazing, can't believe they got eliminated before Honey Boo Boo who just shaked her hips. Plus, I believe she was underscored on the samba.
In my opinion Sophia was WAYYY out shined by Jake she also was too focused on what he was doing and to be a great at ballroom you have to keep up with what your partner is doing *and* the choreo.
The show is crazy because some of the performers are actual dancers so it’s refreshing to see someone like her be this good. I know she’s shy so she definitely gained a lot of confidence from this.
There's an audiance vote and that vote either sends you hike or saves you. Most likely the audiance vote saved them in week 2 but not in the week they went home.
It makes sense that they were eliminated when they were because there was almost no energy or excitement coming from Sophia the only actual energy was coming from Jake and he had to make up for all the lost energy. Yes, the dances were okay but they were almost boring because of the lack of energy that Sophia showed. You can tell that she was more focused on doing the dance and doing it right than having fun with it and enjoying her time.

Bentley Mendoza I think he was trying to put ger at ease. its nerve racking performing and its the dance if hes awkward its gonna make her more awkward so theyd get lower scores and they would have wanted to stay in as longas possible

Honestly, they were a very cute couple. And I thought they worked well together. Which is why I was very sad when they went home. And the more I watch their three dances, I don't know why they scored so poorly. I get it, Sophia was shy and had a hard time breaking out of her shell. But, I feel like by Disney night she had really made steps in the right direction. And I feel like they could of gone a lot farther then they did!
