LOCATION: 32200 Block of Trabuco Creek Road
AREA/CITY: Orange County
DETAILS:
TRABUCO CANYON - A brush fire quickly scorched about 1,900 acres
and prompted evacuation warnings in Trabuco Canyon today.
The Airport Fire began about 1 p.m. Monday near Trabuco Canyon Road in
the area of the remote-controlled airplane airport said Orange County Fire
Authority Capt. Sean Doran.
One person suffered smoke inhalation, but Doran did not have further
details.
A mandatory evacuation order was issued to the Robinson Ranch
community. Evacuation warnings were issued for residents of Rose Canyon Road,
Trabuco Creek Road, Trabuco Canyon Road, Trabuco Oaks Drive, Joplin Loop, and
Cook’s Corner.
A “care and reception shelter” for evacuees was established at the
Rancho Santa Margarita Bell Tour Regional Community Center, 22232 El Paseo.
Large animals can be sheltered at the Orange County Fair Grounds, 88 Fair Drive
in Costa Mesa.
There was no immediate word on what sparked the fire, which burned
amid the continuing heat wave and elevated fire-danger conditions.
The agency was using new firefighting helicopters that could dump 1,000
gallons of water on the flames, Doran said.
The flames were moving away from homes, burning uphill as of about 4
p.m., OCFA Capt. Steve Concialdi said.

Well this was accidental fire started by heavy machinery.
How did it start?
Heavy equipment sparked it while moving boulders

This fire started last Monday, 9/9/24! I don’t understand why this almost week old fire is being posted as happening “7hrs” ago!
How about a current update as to what the “Airport” fire is doing today, 9/14/24?

Leave those men alone, let those fires do what they want. Those men would rather stay at the fire house and play hide and seek
god bleesed firefighters, police officers pilot and all team🙏🙏❤️👍 doing a great job
Hopefully one won’t start at the LAPD heliport. We need to protect those hard working men in sky. Because legend has it they are not a complete waste of space
