I need a job, your hiring and im not an idiot, done. All this bs selling myself pretending i will die for the company, especially if its for a entry level job.
The selling yourself is the worst because while charisma is good and needed in many jobs, most people who are good at talking are only good at talking and not doing.
I suck at describing things and giving interesting examples. Being persuasive, although my strength at times, is my downfall when it comes to interviews like these.
at the end of the day it's about who made up better stories lol. most people don't even have a specific example to the situation asked by the question.
@@harrishanrathi8854 I didn't do a job simulation. It was a Hirevue interview first, then two interviews with a partner and a project manager at the firm. I'm applying for a tax position.
Julien, in a few days, I will have a HireVue interview with Deloitte. Can you give me more information about how your interview was? I would be very grateful.
Cristian Dudu sure! The questions were: tell me about yourself, why Deloitte, why did you pick your university, why your major, what makes you a good fit for the role, etc. basic questions like that
I knew I was fully qualified for a specific job and prepared for two days straight for a HireVue interview. I dressed up, and delivered solid and thorough responses for each question and yet did not even receive an email confirmation of whether or not I got the job. Absolute waste of time and borderline scam. I would not be surprised if bias and discrimination played a part.
I'm about to do one. Did loads of research (this time) and am learning but I'd be inclinded to agree with you Art. They could just look at your face and say oh I don't like the look of him/her- FAIL. It's extremely unfair :(

I was thinking about that, you basically have to create a 20 minute presentation that will likely be as ignored and skimmed through as most resumes. Its easy for the company to request one of these for every applicant but incredibly time consuming to make. If every company did this job searching would be exhausting and impossible.
hi i need help i dont know what to do i really want this job at HEB but i am nervous i dont know if i will pass this because i am better seeing the person than instead been in video and can someone please give me some advice about the questionar that taken the test please that be very helpful
The weakness is your inability to identify your real weaknesses. Perfectionism isn't really a weakness as we all try to do things right... If you think you're about to be perfect, think again.
The problem with "perfection" and attention to details mean that for you the project will never be perfect to deliver there will be always a detail that is not okay so you loose sight of big picture and get lost in very tiny details ending up not delivering
What a fucking world we lived in. Even you passed on these non-sense interviews and exams, the applicants still have no assurance that he will get the job. Interviews and exams must be paid by the hiring companies as they're both wasting time, efforts, and cents of the applicants!
The video is designed to give you a list of the top 5 questions asked in a HireVue interview. He goes through each of those top 5 questions, and then provides you advice on what to include or exclude in your answers based upon what is generally thought of as a well-reasoned and thoughtful answer. He can't give you the answers because your job experience is your own. This is a video that prepares you for these questions and advises you on the best way to answer them.
What a boring dystopia we live in

Exactly
Exactly my point .....totally bullshit because I really cant be honest
Unfortunately this is Capitalism
wish it was that easy, like i really want to say "tell me what to do and ill do it"

What's wrong with being a perfectionist and paying too much attention to detail though? Cos that's actually my greatest weakness
It's a recurring answer HR always hear.
Perfectionism is an ILLUSION. I'd rather be real than faking it to make it anywhere.

Do you think that some video interview applicants that are not chosen are later looked at or given a second chance? Thanks for your answer in advance.
Nope
Perfect :D thanks a lot
I just took my HSBC online job simulation, anyone know how long it takes to know if you passed or not?

They asked me questions on how I would deal with a problem with a customer, if I had any experience multitasking, why I chose the position, etc

What is "gaming a computer?" Do you mean no video games loaded on the computer?
Gaming the system is attempting to cheat it. In this context, it refers to trying to cheat the HireVue process
i didnt hear the answers!
