Hi, ~I am looking for a solution that would keep track of my orders, profits, price lists (with pictures), prices and profits by customers, cost lists, and customers (what they buy normally, their forecasts along with their basic information) and inventory. Would airtable be able to cover all? or would you recommend some add ons/temlplate? I am eager to use airtable, but it's a lot of work to structure and learn which hinders me from subscribing.
@@XAE_A_Xii yes, everything that you mentioned here can be tracked in Airtable. Although, as you mentioned, it's a lot of work to build this all out! Add-on products can certainly help make this more powerful, for example you might want to build a customer portal with Softr.io - there are several different add-on tools that we use to further enhance Airtable's capabilities, it really depends on your specific goals and desires. The short answer for you: yes, this is possible! 💪
@@GarethPronovost I just came across Softr so very early in my discovery process but that doesn't seem to work when it's loaded up with a live Airtable. Their support page still says that they don't support linked records. Could be how I have my Airtable set up but even lookup fields are acting weird and just showing gibberish versus the text I was anticipating.
@@bradleyapeters sorry for the confusion, the roadmap is just updated to reflect that the linked records are now launched. Please send us a message on the support chat, we will have a look what's the issue you are facing with live mapping and lookup fields - both should work fine, we haven't noticed any issues so far.
Hi there, nice video - Could I use Softr to build a database of journalists and have my customers log in to access the database, download contacts, search for specific elements e.g. publication or publisher?
I don't think the native Softr forms allow for attachments yet. That said, you can embed a more advanced form in your Softr app, say using JotForm, that would allow for attachments to be captured with the form.
I'd suggest reaching out to Softr - I believe they do have some folks building templates for them but I'm not certain what the payment model looks like.
Generally we don't want to delete records from a database, but instead archive them (mark them as inactive). You can't delete records from Softr, but you can create a field to move them into inactive.

Yes indeed. In fact, in this template, you can view the linked "Contacts" that connect to an "Account" - pretty slick solution!

What if you already have a lot of data and you just want to connect it to softr? Do we have to use templates?
Not at all! You can build your own interface from scratch!
