🤣 I remember this hill well; I also skied down and up that 3 times; on the 3rd lap my legs were already like rubber so I said a few Hail Mary’s on the way down and just missed hitting someone standing there with their dog 🐕 Thursday when many of us switched to the open track that hill was icy and slushy because of the warmer weather; but overall a blast; thanks Birkie 😂
Wow! You caught some great footage of the corner called "carnage corner" due to it getting bumpy and icy on Saturday. I heard it was bad but seeing it puts it into perspective. It even took some elite skiers down earlier in the morning.
I skied in the morning Saturday and this corner was no issue. Then skied for fun in the afternoon and this corner was very icy. I didn’t fall but pretended I was going to and got a laugh out of the crowd
I can't tell if this is the hill but there's one hill that we just didn't do at all on Sunday because of the wipeouts and the course being shredded away
I agree with you that it was a bad move to make a man-made ice track for Birkie 2024. I took a very hard fall on my left hip and I I had my first day of physical therapy for the injury today. This year would have been my 43rd Birkie. I'm not sure about 2025. I may do some other races. I have also skied 14 Worldloppet races. None were a hazardous as Birkie 2024!

@@Axolautism this was the downhill right after the Mt. Bauer climb
@@ericcutshall5350 yup, that's the one, we didn't even get to see it for the classic races
@@Axolautism this was it. The Bauer climb and downhill were eliminated on Sunday.

I was that one that skipped the hill🤣
Hahahah! Don’t blame you 😂

guy #60(off camera) who was also #62(this guy again) totally redeemed himself with a stylish telemark standing up - excellent!
