#BASSMASTERCLASSIC #2019NEW #BESTnewREEL - Навчання та стиль
Crazy hyped right now. Butterflies in my tummy!
I love this channel. Keep up coming with new videos!!!
I'd love to see you take apart a Saltiga expedition.
Good stuff, love your videos. When I saw you were reviewing a monocoque body daiwa I got excited thinking I'd see what you use to unscrew the sideplate. I want to be able to service my saltiga bj3500h, currently I just shove grease up its bum by removing the rear body cap. It's overdue for a proper strip down and clean
Yesssss I’ve been waiting for t his video!!!
Purchasing mine tomorow. Thank you!
Will you be doing a full tear down? I’m dying to see the best way to access the main gear etc..
Just got my this week. Great stuff. Waiting for my new saltiga 12 braid line to complement the setting :)
Fairly new to your channel. Watched some breakdown vids. You said people were calling you a Shimano fan. But you sure have been doing a lot of Daiwa reels as of late. And your reviews have been on more of the thumbs up side. New favorite manufacturer? Plus thanks to your vids I am shying away from KastKing. Was not aware of how many reels are out there with shared manufacturer parts.
Many thanks for the review as only u can do it!
Love when he lifts the cap and , whoa , he falls in love with it☺
I was like oooooooo...finally something different lolol and NICE
Tackle Advisors which is better daiwa certate lt or van staal vr50
Just picked up an exceler 2500 xh lt and that thing made me a lifelong daiwa supporter...this might be the next wxpensive 4000 reel i get
I was very excited to use the certate lt5000d pier fishing for spanish, and bonito. Reel was super smooth and easy to turn under load, very light weight and fits around 350-400 yards of braided pe#2 line. I was able to lift 5-7 lb fish up the pier without having to pump the rod. But unfortunately, after 3 days of fishing, the felt drag washers got completely shredded and inside of reel spool was scraping to metal washers. I could not believe they shoved felt washers into $500 reel. Daiwa bg and even cheap $60 shimano reels in 5000 size come with carbon fiber drag washers. I hope daiwa will replace entire spool under warranty.
The reel is nice but I recommend upgrading to carbontex drag washers right away, unless you plan on using 12 lb mono or lighter. Line lay is not very tight and is not that good for braid size pe#1.5 or smaller diameters. Stradic fl5000 has much better line lay for small diameter braids (pe#1 to pe#2).
Yeah but will it catch a fish ?😛
Always a pleasure to watch
Thanks for sharing your expertise
Thanks for your video, it was very helpful.
I thought that only Daiwa technicians could disassemble the reels, because only they have the magnetic fluid, but after seeing your video,
Could I remove the reel without damaging the magnetic fluid?
On the Daiwa website, it says that the magnetic fluid works better with time of use, so is it necessary to change the magnetic fluid periodically, or should the magnetic seals never be touched and disassembled?
Just spun one at local fishing supply store... that reel spins as smooth as glass !!
Be interested to see how it matches against the exsence. Can't wait to get one.
Damn that's the prettiest reel I've ever seen. Thanks Nick for the early preview/teardown-excellent as always. Will there be differences between the usdm and jdm versions of this one? I guess no since they're both made in japan?? Also what's the point of the easily removable bottom? Is it so that you can quickly access the gears for applying grease and such yourself?
nah brahh =)
Great quick breakdown of a beautiful reel. Daiwa Japan does hype the Zaion air rotor on their Certate webpage btw, on the technology tab.
They must have added it...I know I scoured the interwebs and spent a good bit of time on the JDM site and was surprised not to see it. Or I flat out just missed it lol..... :)
Tackle Advisors which one is better daiwa certate lt or van staal vr50
Great video!!!
Ty for nice video:) Can u take apart older certate 2016 and compare to this one? :)
Can you do a review or segment with the new Daiwa Regal LT? I picked it up at BP for $75 CAD and it feels high quality and looks similar to the reel in this video
We need a tear down of the Certate LT vs the Exist LT to see the key differences besides Aluminum and Magnesium please...
Basically mag sealed side instead of an outdoors ring magnesium body and the gear is machined. The magnesium makes it more ridged so slightly tighter tolerances. The exist has a better warranty and service though
any chance you'll do a cross review of the new certate lt vs the certate 16 hd? how different are they one from the other?
Hello Tackle Advisors, I have a question for you...can you rank me the reels from best to worst? (stradic FL, shimano twinpower FD, certate LT, vanquish(new), exist LT, stella FJ) - all in size 4000 or 5000
- also wanted to ask you...is the new stella SW-C worse built than the previous one SW-B? thanks a lot! :)
Best Regards
What’s up with the open back of the reel? Isn’t that the same design that the Tsunami Evict has that you didn’t like?
Hi; how is it compared to the 19 Vanquish...
I have been using a Biomaster 4000 sw. I own a certate 3000 d. It arrived. Super smooth. I could not catch the CONSTANT super slow cadance , i could not get used to. It stops or rolls faster. Should i continue with this or i should return this and buy a Stella ?
You should definitely do a break down on a saltiga expedition
do you think the Exist will have similar water seal protection and internals ? thanks
Just got the 5000xh model. So good.
i would like watch next video, of how to fully disassembly daiwa steez a tw
Great videos and content! Is the Certate still the best spinning reel to buy in the $400 range? Thanks liked and subscribed, of course.
"Daiwa" is the best money can buy 👍
Hi,
Will you make any review on the Daiwa Airity LT 21?
Thanks in advance :)
Love to see this video where ur work is actually in the frame 🤷♂️
exactly..terrible filming
Thank you for the video and break down,,,keep it up.
Really looking forward to the video. I have one on pre order.👍
Oskar b where’d you preorder I’ve only seen it listed on digitaka?
@@ReelNewwt I live in Australia. I went to my local fishing tackle shop but Motackle do online pre orders. I'll be waiting till around May for the size I want but the 2500s is in store now.
@@ReelNewwt JandH in the description is taking pre orders. The date is still not 100% confirmed. He'll be getting the first shipment of US market reels for sure though
@@TackleAdvisors Hope I didn't offend wasn't trying to promote another store.
Aside from that I thought a watch case wrench could possibly work to open the side plates. Trying it on my Exist once the tool arrives.
Can't wait 😁
Do you think it comes close to the exist LT?
Hallo great video ! Is possible to know wich type of screwdriver you use in 10:18 ? Is a Wera 0.9 mm hexagon....Many thanks .
Is the rear bumper material plastic or is it metal? Looks very thin and flimsy.
Anyway from saltiga BJ user I’ve heard that that rear gasket usually comes dry from the factory and water get through easily. They recommend to put thin layer of silicone grease over the gasket.
Daiwa is killing it...and an actual teardown review at the Classic...did you bring your whole studio on the road??
LOL...some....I'd need a trailer to transport my studio lmao
Daiwa has always been killing it when it come to innovation and quality. Not on the marketing side until now.
@@TackleAdvisors Did you ever get inside the rest of the body? Would be nice to see your final analysis with full teardown before getting a final conclusion from you.
@@sunshinecycling I agree, but you need to have a special tool to get inside the side plate.
Excellent review thank you. I wonder how it might compare to the Exist? I wonder what’s missing compared to the Exist. I note Alan Hawke suggests the Exist doesn’t rate as a salt water reel (though I use mine in salt water and to date with proper care, no issues). Again many thanks, love your site.
Coza King sorry, he loved the reel, but rated it a freshwater reel. In his blog on 2018 ICAST he mentions freshwater reel and then I wrote to him and he said he mainly only reviews saltwater reels.
Ah thanks. I do love my Exist 4000 it certainly punches above its weight.
And preordered :DD
Do you have a video break down of the 2013 certate?
Hoping you do a more in-depth review of this reel.
Gotta do a Twin Power XD vs Certate LT review 🙏
Is it true that water still gets through the handle side?
Are the line roller bearings mag sealed?
What are the line capacity ratings for the Certate?
I'd love to be able to afford something like this
Nice reel but will it stack up to my Zebco 33
please review the freams lt
Great!
So is this reel a keeper?
As always another great video 👍!
Thanks brother!
Anytime! Got to support my friends! Give to Kastkingers Hell! Been eyeballing those new Levante’s for while just haven’t figured out which action I want. Have fun at the Classic!
Hello..anyone knows the tool to remove the sideplate?
Cool video Nick , what brand of small torx driver do you use? I know what screwdriver you use.
At one point he had lots of Wera on his Amazon page.
Hey Mark!! how ya doin man! BN is correct it's a wera......Wera everything for drivers....(((although the interchangeable torx are home depot branded......)))
@@TackleAdvisors Thanks Nick, yeah i was interested in the interchangeable torx. Have a good time at the show.
Hey I love your videos. I pretty much buy my gear from your reviews. I was wondering if the Stradic FL was close to the Certate for inshore saltwater fishing? Cheers
Hey Andy... Thanks! Both reels may be used interchangeably.. Certate Will be more refined though if that matters
Like their bigger size saltiga but their paint chip like crazy, most people try to keep their reel scratches, but daiwa paint are just horrible
Do you still feel this way about the reel? What about the SW model
Looking forward to the new video
MAke a video change the plastic bushing drag into ball bearing pls. Hedgehog studio sell it.
Man...I just scored a Certate HD 4000H locally for $250. Now Imitching for another premium eggbeater 🥚
Is it better than shimano stradic FL??
why is mine making a raspy noise from the line roller, especially when its being reeled with some weight. i can't tell if its a normal phenomenon with braid or if its a faulty line roller.
Would you compare this reel to the Shimano Twinpower XD 5000 XG. Price points are similar, so if you had to choose one which one would it be and why??
I held both in 5000. Im team Daiwa........ but at that price point you simply can't go wrong with either. Im biased towards daiwa so I got the certate but I can tell you its a toss up to the individual who gives 2 shots about brand.
What size hex driver is that for the tiny little screw?
I saw the DaiwA Certe 5000 lt coming out. Would you recommend using that in cape cod canal?
How does this compare to stella fj? In europe the price difference is 100Eur between them
Are you planning on a full in-depth review/on the water impressions later? Considering one for west coast surf/inshore applications. Thanks!
Absolutely... Not sure when... But a subscriber from Australia just shipped me his exist lt which is the same reel so I'll put some time on that
@@TackleAdvisors Awesome! Looking forward to it.
ua-cam.com/video/mDnfWwx3uJw/v-deo.html almost the same.
3:12 what screwdriver head is this? I need to take my rotor off my Daiwa TD Black MQ 2000s and it has some sort of grub screw
Just got my 5000 LT Ark I'd suggest you do a pre service on these reels as I discovered there was no grease on the main gear at all. Also greased the seals . Other than that a beautiful smooth reel.
How did you open the side plate to have access to the main gear?
@@shorejiggerchris3364 just removed the bottom cover greased the seal and you have access there to the main gear
@@Galvoflysoz But i think not full access. This is Daiwas policy not to service the reel your own
@@shorejiggerchris3364 yes you need a special tool t o open the side plate or make one. But they definitely need some grease as there dry as. Nice for the showroom but not so good in real world use. No grease on the orings either
@@Galvoflysoz I understand you.But believe me i have seen many new reels without grease in the gears so this does not surprise me.Thanks for the info though
be interesting to see how it stacks up, It Is in a weird price bracket at roughly $600-$650 in Australia.
@Coza King i said nothing about USD and as I am in Australia it has no relevance to me, with availability over here there are not very many reels in that bracket hence my interest to see how it stacked up.
What size is the hex key for the set screw to change the spool support bushing?
I believe .9 mm
daiwa certate ark 4000 its ok gor 30 gr jigs ;;;; I need your opinion
Does it compare to excense
Can you please teardown the SW version : )
Nice video! Did you compare it with thr Shimano Vanquish? Vanwuish vs Certate Lt video would be cool 😊 the only thing i don't like on the certate lt: the color 😳 it should be black or kinda gun metal
Cheers
Nice! Weight? Line capacity? Drag #s?
Certate 2019 2500- 7.23 oz., 3000-7.94 oz., 4000-8.3 oz. BUT! the Exist 4000 weighs less than the Certate 2500!! The lite reels will be the new Shimano Vanquish models.
Have you looked @ the 19 Ballistic FW?
The so called "Fresh Water Certate LT" (edit: they call it "New DAIWA Ballistic FW is the Little EXIST ’18 for Fresh Water").
I fish in Sweden = Fresh water, looks like a much better reel then the 17 Ballistic LT and it feels like over kill to buy an 19 Certate LT if mostly Mag seal is the diffrence, but are there any other diffrence that make certate a better reel also for fresh water use?
Cast zinc main gear according to a photo I saw... Big let down. Caldia lt albeit made in China is an upgrade due to everything being essentially the same but with a really rotor upgrade. Usdm ballistic has the machined alu main gear
Where are the extra two bearings that are in the Exist vs the Certate?
No idea? I want to order a Certate but need to know this first LOL.
Thoughts on this compared to Saltiga BJ? Is it just as strong
I was wandering the same
Goddammit... Just when I was gonna order the Shimano Exsence. I had to check your channel out, now I can't decide which one I should order. I should go with Certate because it's Daiwa and it matches my Daiwa Labrax rod. Thank you.
i bought both exsense ci4 and this one certate LT reeling experience is unreal, going to try to fish for tautog tomorrow with it to see how it feel but it's literally has 0 resistance on the certate LT
Get Certate if you want robust and durability. I own Certate from 2006 models all the way to 2016 models and they never let me down. 2006 model still work great and no problem.
@@samnguyen276 I bought the certate HD 4000H, so did u had to service them yearly or replace any parts
I bought a used Certate 4000LT but there is a little play in the spool is that normal for this reel? I can move the spool up and down just slightly along with side to side.
Sounds normal to me
This is going to be my first reel I get over a shimano
Good choice
Owner of a certate lt 4000. Fishing almost daily in sw for sea bass and bluefish. Already the roller starts to make noises and is impossible to maintain it by my self. Can you please make a video of how 2? Its unacceptable to make that crunche noises to so short time of use.
Update: I brought it to daiwa and they changed the bearings into roller. After a week of fishing same noise again. Seems like there is something into the roller. The sound is like grinder. The old bearings they had no issues, we change them just because they couldn't find nothing else. Any ideas of what else it can be?
Certate LT vs. Twin Power FD. Which is the better reel (2500)?
I have them both, tp casts better n easy individual serviceble friendly, certate lt is a good reel but if u can afford only one tp fd is the one .
Have you reviewed the TD SOL 3's??
Please a new review to daiwa certate 21 thanks
Can these get submerged?
What would you rate higher, this or a twin power xg?
twin what? lol
Can’t wait to see this compared to the shimano exsence or the new shimano vanquish FB!!!
im trying to figure out the same
What’s the difference between this model your showing and the cxh?
c stands for compact body and xh for extra high gear!:)
Please review the new Shimano Vanquish. Interested to see how will it compares to the Certate.
Vanquish is for light,,,Certate is for STrong,,, Vanquish is more compare to Exist LT
@@stevenguyen2546 I agree. price of the Certate is less than the Vanquish and Exist. But the Certate is heavier yet but still less than the older Certate.
The Exist and I suppose the new Certate has to be serviced by just a few service centers to get that side cover removed? That's what Daiwa says.
Can you tell Scott if he’s there, that I’m disappointed in his move to favorite. Thank you ❤️
My friend...I walked by so many fisherman in the classic and didn't recognize one unless someone said their name. I don't follow the bass tourney trail at all.....I gotta say though....seeing bill dance was pretty cool...and roland martin.....they're like gods here with lines for pics lol....that was pretty cool....MR yamamoto was at the end of an autograph line as well
@@TackleAdvisors ouu I'm so jealous!! Did you pick up a few cool things for reviews? Also we need a new light review!! I like lights lol
@@bigbuba16 I like lights too...lol Lots of stuff isn't gonna be out for a bit. Berkleys new HD baits are lookin sweet and Freedoms new marabou jig is on my list as is the chatterbait. Live target new 3 pack of shad baits looked reallllllly good for scooby doo rigging wacky style as do the hd's from berkley.....the HD craw is my pick for best of show plastic. Next to the live targets. Evergreen gave me a shower blows pencil which was cool....They brought a trio of colors....Not a ton of new stuff but some good stuff that I'll be using when available.
We need ( pretty please) a comparison of this and the new shimano vanquish. Weight, gears, braid capacity, etc.
It seems as if both companies, are outshining their top of line reel, with their next best reel. New Vanquish is basically a Stella with Carbon instead of metal, so lighter than the 18 Stella, everything else being the same (from what I can read at www.jpfishingtacklenews.com/news/shimano-vanquish-2019/). And new Certate is very akin to Exist with the huge gear, but with a much more manageable pricetag.
Ye can we get a full year down!
How would a saltiga bj compare?
is it possible to change the knob on the reel or do you need to drill it?
Yes you can swap knobs. They aren't riveted. I put a gomexus carbon double handle on mine... Love it... Bought another for my Shimano's
@@TackleAdvisors have you checked inside the reel yet ? Mine was completely dry from factory no grease at all. And it looks like this reel was as well from the quick glimpse of the bottom we got. Ive seen a few having issues because of this. I love mine but I preserviced it. But dissapointing from Daiwa. all the rubber seals are dry as well so need a light grease.
