in the west Real Canadian Superstore is the best one they have all the choices: no name (yellow packages), PC Brand/Blue Menu and the national brands plus full departments like bakery, deli, fresh meats and seafoods. It is the best store imo if you have to feed a bigger family - it has best prices over Safeway or Save-On. No frills is a budget version with small departments (no deli, bakery, seafood only prepared and packaged) its cheap though. Independent is terrible here, an expensive version of no frills.

Frenchie - be careful of artificially scented things as they will mess up your thyroid and you also might need to get yours checked as it looks like you have a goiter and swelling . Check for Hashimotos . ( especially since you work with metals )

Just to maintain she has to eat roughly 5-6k calories a day. There's no reason she can't cut down a bit
