Charice is indeed one of the best singers. I still remember when I was in high school I would spend hours in the internet cafe just to watch her videos, and this performance was definitely one of my favourites. She is jake now but that doesn't change tge fact that she's achieved so much in the industry and brought so much pride to the Philippines. :)

The legendary 'charice pempengco so much power from a small body of a girl. Amazing and it is beyond imagination.
It wasn't just her voice it was her attitude. She was never going to let someone else get that top note, just her. If you know anything of her background you know how tough she had to be. She did a guest spot on a Korean television show and one of the cast regulars thought she might challenge Charice. Well you can imagine how that went, but thing is how Charice went about dismantling the other gal. The victory was swift and total. She relished the fight. She was also on an American T.V. show Glee, You have to see her audition to get into the club. Then she has a run in with the Queen of the club in a bathroom, just check her attitude in that scene, it isn't far from true how she responds to the challenge. Anyway, thanks for the reaction.
Thank you for your reaction. I myself also a big fan of charice, her voice is superb and i cannot compare her to other artist. I fully respect her decision to changed herself to Jake and i will her the best. But her vocals prior to her transition is mind blowing and no can touch her versatility, stage presence, and how she attacks every song she sings. Truly a phenomenal artist. :-)

Just like u, i am a fan of Charice and as a health care provider, I am very much curious how testosterone can affect his voice as Jake Zyrus. She inspired people during her time as Charice but I believe as him, he inspires more people who really needed to be inspired. His role is quite important in this fast changing society. As charice, she made history but still as Jake he will continue to make history in different aspects.

Charice voice is perfection for me. Ain’t no screaming and shouting. Her voice is very mature and sounds clear and professional. Her voice is so soulful, you can literally feel all the emotions when she’s singing. Charice is often compare to the greatest vocalist of all time. Whitney, the voice herself and Celine. Her covers are by far the best I’ve ever heard

Granted, this may not be her best song/performance, but still gives me the chills. All that voice, power from such a small package, just awesome. And it may not be obvious, but she is actually surrounded by many good/great singers as well (Lani Misalucha, Sarah Geronimo, Arnel Pineda, Gary Valenciano, Eric Santos, Zsa Zsa Padilla, etc.... it's just her time in the spotlight.

Charice deserved that spotlight. That moment. Sarah always tries to steal her scene, now look at Sarah in this video, always looking at Charice masking her insecurities. She cant accept the talent that Charice has. Charice is an epic talent and Sarah is mediocre. Charice showed everyone what she’s made of in this segment. They always bullied Charice in this noon time show, giving her less air time than the more camera pleasing Sarah. Pssh, Charice all the way!!!

As for Jake's performances, I really like his rendition of "Perfect" by Simple Plan on the Wish Bus.
