As a young boy in Nigeria in the eighties my impression of British people were the characters I saw in Some Mothers Do Have Them, Mind Your Language etc.(I snubbed Chef in the nineties dunno why) Late one Wednesday night in the year 2000, a program came on MTV and the host said five words, "Welcome to the Late Lick", went on a monologue and I watched him religiously for the following years, didn't have no Internet and that's where I got the latest hip-hop and R&B. When I left Nigeria for University in the year '06 I chose the UK over the US because of this man.
