Sweetness, hehe. These songs are actually kind of boring from a composition perspective, but definitely hold certain nostalgic value nonetheless.
I would fully support a remix+medley of Yume Nikki music, were you to create one.
Also, I did a video piano cover here on YT of the second piece on your compilation, a while back. =D

I think some others on the FamiTracker forums have covered some of the other tunes as NSF but I can't remember who. They may have posted them on youtube already.... it isn't something I've thought about doing myself.

I thought you would do it the other way around - making the other songs into 8-bit format instead.

no, famitracker emulates the 2a03 synthesiser internally, no samples required (aside from DPCM samples if one decides to use them.)
