you're getting your surgery too early if it has only been a year, it sounds like you should put that on hold. the old school grandmas would tell us, "don't you dare get a tattoo unless you have wanted that same tattoo for 5 years." you should probably listen to such traditional advice and not go through with the surgery unless it is something you've actually seriously wanted for 5 years. i hope you don't take this as some troll on the internet, i am just fully aware of the countless growing number of trans men and women who have had surgery and do NOT feel any better about themselves after doing it and many more regretting it terribly but being too ashamed to admit it to everyone. I hope you reconsider but whatever you decide best wishes and good luck.

My advice is completely unwarranted and the person should hurry up and go through with their drastic irreversible decision that they already scheduled themselves into, without considering all sides of the issue and that if this is something they really want, they can wait for it to make sure it was something they actually wanted. Genital surgery is only supposed to be recommended for people with such severe body dysmorphia that just seeing their own genitals sends them into a spiral of depression and anxiety. Surgery is not meant for people who are simply enjoying expressing their inner personality as the opposite gender and feel the most comfortable living that way. If you want surgery just to "convince" other people that you are the opposite gender, then you are going to be miserable because most older people will be able to tell within moments of meeting you that you are not genetically what you wish you were and they'd slip and use the wrong pronouns if they weren't careful.

I resonate with this song now that i feel better about myself. I used to hate myself and force myself into feeling misery all the time. This wasn't helped when someone who was bad for my life decided to hurt me more. But now I am a proud Transmasc who has the support of family and friends. I am proud of who i am. I ysed to be unable to cope with my current surroundings, but now, i feel better. Everything feels lighter.

I resonate with this song now that i feel better about myself. I used to hate myself and force myself into feeling misery all the time. This wasn't helped when someone who was bad for my life decided to hurt me more. But now I am a proud Transmasc who has the support of family and friends. I am proud of who i am. I ysed to be unable to cope with my current surroundings, but now, i feel better. Everything feels lighter.
