nintendrones, sony invented the remote play in 2006 with PSP and PS3. Its WiiU which copied that in 2012 get your history straight.

The second I found out about this, I knew it was gonna be near useless. $200 is appealing until you realize you need a $500+ console to work with it
I don't have a PS5 and i don't plan on getting one but im surprised that there is barely anything powering this thing except WiFi and the basic stuff. Plus, this thing doesn't even run on android or linux so when the PS5 becomes errelevant this will become useless.

@@Teja ps3 was $499 for the 20 gb model and psp was $249, $748 in total, Wii u deluxe set was $349. Sony was still screwing that back then

man if you do not like it stream it to your smartphone, even to jailbroken nintendo switch.
it is not about all of this, it is about YOU who can play with low battery use anyway with ps5 haptic on oled 1080p.
see this device as a addition in your playstation 5 enviroment sphere. same as you buy a headset or pro controller. people spend 140,- for complete editions of digital games, so why are thise people complain.
a new or old handheld had never any connection with the sony consoles, you still have to buy different software wich cost extra, then still people would stream from their console. it is just a bs complaint.
take it or leave it. i love it because i have kids and a tv show addicted wife. not for playing fps on the go, dies not matter what device it is the worst match.
Im primarily a PC and Xbox player but my Switch is way more useful than this trash.
