US395, Round Valley view from Sherwin Grade

Descent into Bishop, CA on US395 with views of Round Valley and Mt Tom, et al.
Northern end of Owens Valley, a spectacular meeting of mountain & desert. Sherwin Grade is a 3,000 foot straight down descent from the "Volcanic Tableland." It would make an excellent climb for the Tour of California; maybe next year.

Dang!! I used to do a lot of runs on that road adjacent to 395 in Round Valley. That is such a beautiful place!

@dmcdowel I agree fully. It's a marvelous corner of the world. About 6 hrs from my home. Planning on lots of exploration this summer.
