I was going down the line listening to Vektor while playing a game and suddenly it transitioned to a very strange jazz group of the same name and I was four minutes in because I couldn't determine whether or not it was a very elaborate intro. The singer is just a deadpan flat delivery. But now I have a band that I love to subject one of my best friends to.
I wouldn't call Vektor thrash. It's way more. There is prog in there, black metal in there, thrash and death metal. It basically covers all and i love it.
The lack of bottom end (which I think you were equating to the heaviness) is intentional. In order to bring more of a scifi/dissonance to their tracks all of their songs are played in F Standard. Yes they tune UP. The end result has less bottom end than typical thrash but with alot more creepy dissonance as a result. These guys are masters. Though I think Forest of Legend and Recharging the Void are better songs, this song is a bit shorter and easier as an entry point. It lacks of the experimental insanity of Recharging the Void or the hypnotic epiciness of Forest of Legend.
Vektor has a ton of great songs, their third album's concept follows a pretty neat story that loops onto itself. Recharging the void, pteropticon, forests of legend and cosmic cortex are a few of my favs. Haven't had the chance to see them live, I don't think their lineup is still together and unfortunately none of the live performances on youtube have good enough sound quality, ah well.
They broke up because a band member got involved with a domestic abuse accusation. Also alcohol problems. In the end, the thing got blown way out of proportion, especially considering the evidence was pretty thiun. They announced in the middel of 2020 they would start the band again
You literally can't go wrong with their Outer Isolation or Black Future Albums. I have a few gripes about Terminal Redux because they did things out of their normal element, but its still ok
@Shane Diablo In my opinion, Recharging the Void is the greatest song ever written.
Agreed
But you can't skip straight to it! You have to earn it by listening to all of Terminal Redux
One of the best metal songs ive ever heard imo
i love thrash metal and this band reached the highest lvl in my thrash satisfaction range
DAMN!!! This song is really dope! I loved it! Definitely gonna follow them for now!

They are thrash! Progressive techinicalblackenedSpacedeaththrash. Lol
Their first album was based on thrash more , personally my fav album
@@Trahzy love it but my least favorite but that changes it used to be my fav.
Personally I like to label them as tech thrash. They doing things no1 else is doing in thrash at a level no1 else does.
@@TrahzyBlack Future is my mental palate cleanser. My factory reset button.

Tech thrash at it's best. And who the fuck tunes up to F standard. Def put their own stamp on thrash.
