I almost bought a carbon clown but that guy at American Royals was incredibly rude for no reason. Apparently you’re not allowed to ask questions unless you are 100% buying the snake right away. I was upfront with him and told him I was debating between his carbon clown or getting a monarch pied but at the end of the day after talking to him I decided to go with the monarch pied from best dressed balls. He immediately made a post on social media about me talking about tire kickers. By now I’d have bought one from him but I don’t appreciate being treated that way when I was upfront with him from the start.

I have a 3 mon old male that's banana superfire. I'm looking for a female that would make some awesome looking colors. What would you recommend to breed south. Of course I know it will be a while too breed them. I actually had someone say oh you have to wait until they are old enough I was like really thanks for telling me that. Lol I'm sure there are people that don't know that but yes this is for future breeding lol.
The ball python industry is shit. There are too many breeders and two markets. The first market is ball python breeders producing too many balls at good prices and flooding the market with piles ot snakes they will never sell. The secong are breeders that pack as many genes into a snake to make something new and most people cannot afford. I see this at every reptile show I go to and at the end of the show, most have a good bit of their snakes unsold. Take this post....how much is that carbon worth in the market? How many people do you know that can afford it and will buy it. What about the rest of the clutch that was with this carbon? Where do they end up? At some point the bottom will fall out and the ball python industry will get destroyed and necome worthless.
You have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about. But the future will tell… there’s no reason to argue, I’ve argued with opinions like yours for the last 20 years as the reptile industry has doubled again and again…. I don’t have any carbons for sale, I don’t even know what they cost - We making a video showing some pretty snakes. Chill out.
@@KINOVAReptiles I see this all the time at every show I go to. Vendors leave with most of what they came with. While I'm sure you are selling to high end clients because you do not reproduce many low cost balls. the market is flooded. It has happened with numerous other species; for example...gray banded kindsnakes. At one time I haf over 300 nd the market finally crashed. You could not give them away. I sold the bulk to a breeder in Germany and now only keep a scant few. Maybe the ball market has not yet crashed, but it is coming and if you think it is not then you are delusional. You probably make as much off your youtube as the snakes but you are also not selling to the common person at a repile show and you just keep passing your high end shit between other high end breeders. Nothing personal, just my observations from attending every reptile show in Texas every year.
Time will tell :) let’s revisit in 5 years… but again the ball python market is 25 years strong now. Also YT pays me less than 1% of Kinova’s gross revenue, so your gut instinct about these things is a bit off. - you can only learn so much about a world-wide dynamic market with more than 100 million a year, by attending shows in Texas…
@KINOVAReptiles a lot of people don't buy from shows as has been my experience. Most people have a person they will buy from. Not saying snakes are bad from shows but can be a good way to bring something home besides a snake if you don't quarantine right.
I know a breeder that sold 400 snakes the last 2 weeks. He has a extremely clean place and he is middle of the road on prices. Gives great customer service.
