THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO! I couldn't find the part number anywhere, and your walk through really helped. This screen isn't "made" for my 2009 serial number range, so I had to throw some shims under the front mounting point. The video was great for seeing how to align it.
Nice Speed Triple. How much wind protection does the screen offer? I have been thinking about doing this too mine for a while now but was worried it would not add a lot more protection than the original screen does.
Thank you! It makes a noticeable difference. I still get hit with the wind around my shoulders/head, but it takes the brute force off my torso and makes it very easy to tuck in on the freeway. Really not a bad addition!
Good job. Brilliant that you found the NOS cowl to put it back to stock if you need/want. How about a proper ‘walk around’ of your new bike? It looks super clean!
Nice clean mount job well done. It looks like it only sticks up a little bit above the stock fairing - how much of a difference does that little bit of plastic make? My Valkyrie came with an aftermarket little windshield but it seems to be only good for catching bugs. I don't mind how it looks so I'm keeping it for now.
Just ordered both parts for my 2012. Nice look but couldn't really tell how it was mounted to bike. I will find out when recieved in mail. Currently no flyscreen.
I found one new old stock on eBay and seriously considered doing it. I just couldn’t bring myself to go through with it. My 06 triple is in mint condition, fusion white and I feel like id be ruining a rare painting. Not so much drilling the holes as changing that look. I decided to just deal with the wind but it is a tempting mod if it actually takes the wind down a lot.
Yeah they are no longer in production, might try calling some local Triumph dealers and see if they have it OR if they have inventory for other shops, they can check!
A tip for drilling through plastic. Two tips actually. First drill a small pilot hole and then use a step bit. A step bit will not grab and pull through like a regular twist drill bit. Second if you only have twist bits use a dull one or if it is a sharp bit knock edge down with a little sandpaper or emery cloth. This will reduce the chance of the bit digging in and pulling through.
I did drill a pilot hole, but didn't know about using a step bit. That would make things easier for sure. Luckily the plastic was thin so it didn't take much. Thanks!
Good job. Next time put painter's tape on the areas you want to drill. This will prevent scratches and make a much cleaner hole around the edges. I have a bike fabrication background. Good job happy your back.
I use painters tape all the time for drilling in to plastics or wood that's likely to splinter. It's amazing what a difference it makes. I have a theatre production and HVAC background so same result, different perspective. :D
So happy to see you posting regularly again!
thank you for posting it, I was searching everywhere for this screen, and no one really talks about it.
Looks fantastic, greetings.

Thanks! I plan to do a scenic ride and grab some good shots of the beast.

Not sure yet, but I'll hopefully find out today! It's been pretty windy where I'm at, hopefully it all holds up
@@KillswitchQueen also wondering how effective this is? .. 09 street triple r that I am not sure if it's worth drilling into.
I have a 2011, I think I'll do the exact same thing. Thank you very much!

With that exhaust can you have a passenger???
Nice video - Tell me, does it really work?
Looks awesome
What is the brand of that windshield/fly screen??? Need one for my 2008 speedie.
I literally say it in the first 20 seconds of this video. It's from Triumph, but discontinued. Check description for part number. Good luck
@@KillswitchQueen thank you.
Found one (A9708188) but the description says it fits 2011 & 2012 models... mine is a 2008. Do you think it might fit my bike?
Ual. I have a ST 1050 2009. Top!
Nicccccceeeeee. Looks great.
Sorry not enough information on how it performs
Edgy screen, looks sharp. ( another outro that made me 😂)
Thanks! It does allow me to tuck, but I get a wind buffeting noise at speed which I'm not a big fan of 🤔
Did you say outdated? i'm about to buy one for my 2010 stripler right now haha
Edit: they are tough to find...

@@KillswitchQueen it looks like bikerbandit has it
I’d like to see a dual vlog with you and sub d both on a triumph, that would be pretty neat.
You and me both xD That would be a dream! I need to work on my wheelies first, or maybe he can give me some pointers
👍🛠🔥
Great video, now let me go ahead and try to get into second gear! 😆
You can do it!
Noice!

Completely forgot about that trick. It's been awhile since I've done anything like this. Thank you!!
