Take 10 immortals w/Tesla carbines in the canoptek court, add a plasmancer and an overlord with translation shroud. You now have auto 6-inch advance, assault so you can still shoot, and the Cynosure of eradication for free each round. The kicker is in the damage: 20 shots at 24 inch. Hitting on 3's, but in the power matrix full rerolls. Double exploding 5's and 6's. Reroll everything that is not a 5 or 6. You end up with an average of 37.78 (so roughly 38) hits. Math is underneath this comment. For wounding let's assume terminators with T5 on an objective (So full rerolls to wound from the immortals ability). 38 rolls with Dev wounds on 6's, full rerolling everything that is not a 6. You end up with 11.61 (so roughly 12) Devastating wounds. On top of that 16 saves. (But with ap 0 and the terminator 2+ save that is only 2 more wounds) So you do 14 wounds to a terminator blob. Aka 4 dead terminators, regardless of any defensive thing they can do, cover or other, since it is devastating wounds, which means that there is simply no save. It is even better against tanks, because the devastating wounds is regardless of Toughness, so shooting a Leman Russ is still a good option (On average it stays with 1 wound remaining). On top of that it absolutely mows down anything with toughness 4 or less regardless of the strategem, so a cheaper option is no lord, and then for the low price of 140 + 55 = 195 points you have a very strong unit that is still OC2. Math: 20 shots = 6.67 fives and sixes. -> 20 hits (6.67 *3 because of Double explosion) Reroll the 13.33 One-Fours for 4.44 Threes and Fours plus 4.44 more Fives and Sixes. -> 17.78 more hits. (4.44 * 3 + 4.44, Double explosion and regular hits) Total of 20 + 17.78 = 37.78 Hits (Round to 38) Wounds: 38 wound rolls = 6.33 Sixes (Dev wounds) Reroll the 31.67 One-Fives = 5.28 Sixes (Dev wounds) Leaves with 11.61 Dev wounds. How many shots wound depend on target Tougness.

Suboptimal Facade can't give you back a scarab base as the image implies. It has you roll for Reanimation Protocols, which is a d3. Scarab have 4 wounds, so you would have to roll a 4 on a d3 for that to happen.
So what? You regenerate D3 wounds, if there is a base missing it will come back with one wound before healing Fürther depending on your throw. It is not like it was in 9th, where you had to match the missing models wounds characteristic.
I love the idea of sacrificing a chronomancer to get use out of the revenge strategem easily, but is it worth the 50 points being led right to slaughter. Genuinely wondering, im very new.
I don't tend to think so. That being said, there are plenty of times you will lose a cryptek when didn't intend to, so opportunities to use that strat will still come up even if you aren't trying to kamakazi them.
Yeah, this is too good. When you have a shit load of shots, rerolling all and lethal hits, they turn into 9th ed imperial gaurd. Then they make them tougher than deathgaurd, fuck you GW.

Curse of tthe cryptek only works with CANOPTEK units. So immortals and a cryptek dont get the +1 to hit and wound
