Did this to a 1986 top gun tape in pretty good condition I found on eBay for $3 for my mom as a birthday gift since it was her favorite movie and the F-14 was her most favorite plane of all time. She was not happy at the fact I butchered an original tape upon receiving it lol

Once you cut the light strip what do you do about the remaining lights having a battery pack or color changer?

good question! I haven't done anything with mine, but there are adapters you can buy on amazon that you attach to them and then can connect them to a battery
