That was so funny. When he revved that big monster up, it's like everyone marveled in awe! It's like being at a large zoo, looking at any of the animals on display, when all of a sudden, from several hundred yards away, a Lion starts roaring. Everyone turns their heads in amazement, some even start hurriedly walking to see the king of beasts in action. This Hemi Dart is the King of Beasts.

This is one of, if not the most amazing find i've ever seen on your channel (or anywhere for that matter). It has such great, simple lines. And by simple, i was describing a play my kids ran to another coach. I told him it was so simple but it was dramatic. He replied, "Some of the simplest plays can be the most dramatic." Combined with this fantastic paint job (never seen a prettier blue) this car is not screaming "look at me," people are screaming "let me get a closer look!"

When I was a little boy, I remember these cars coming to the line, at SIR, in Seattle, and my brother leaning back and stating, "It's over unless the Dart red lights." I was 9 years old, and it was the mid 70's. These cars were lethal to any Camero, Mustang, anything that rolled up against them. The most amazing thing is the low back bucket seats! Happy to read you enjoy this "Beast" :-)
The ULTIMATE factory super stock race car in my opinion..... These and the 68 Hemi Barracuda Super Stockers. I think the 68 Hemi Barracudas are even more rare than this one
Hi Jeremy Thompson, Glad this one is a Winner for you :-) Lou

I don't know if I mentioned it (I may have), but my dad bought a 340 Dart new in '69. It was blue with a white stripe around the trunk. It was our family car for 10 years.
Good times :-)
Lol! It was like waking up Godzilla when it revved! It would’ve been nice to get a glimpse of the lady to the rear of the car as it was being revved! She looked like she nearly flatlined just from it being started!!
Agree this was quite the REEVVVVVV :-)
if that aint a monster from hell i dont know what is omg when he started it up that was so cool im sure the whole building shook
You're right, this one shook the building. When they started this car, it was a "Scare Zone" :-)
Awesome video brother!
Thank you Mark's Snakepit :-)
Those Lo-23 and Lo-29 darts and barracudas were the fasted cars period in 1968.

Looking for a nice shell of a 68 dart for a few years I have a gen 3 hemi twin turbo 1200 hp waiting for it ! Moroso made those cool cans a while they insulated them with cork insulation to keep the ice longer we also used dry ice .

❤
:-)
Such a "COOL" and RARE car and all the effort to restore it, why is there a duel pulley AC alternator installed instead of the single pulley.
Hi Terry Bowman, Not sure about the pulley. Happy to read you appreciate the rarity of this car :-) Thank you for viewing, sharing and I believe you're going to see many more cars on this Channel you'll enjoy. Hi Jenny, Happy to see the love eyes for this car :-) Hope you see many more you'll enjoy, Lou
@@loucostabile no doubt..68 dart is one of My top 3 ..64 Gto Tempest and a 69 Camaro. If I had to choose out of those 3 I would have to do the eeny meeny miny mo.
It’s always a good idea to rev the piss out of an ice-cold engine.
I think Larry can fix it if there is an issue :-)
Some videos just need to be longer.
:-)
You have to place the microphone in front of the mouth, Cecil B. DeMille!
Thank you for sharing a tip.
Beautiful, rather have the Sox Martin Cuda next to it ;)
Here you go :-) ua-cam.com/video/RLtBleO6Fak/v-deo.html
when they took the hood off , that was porn of the best nature !!!
Hi RAy Shogan, Yep, you're a "Car Guy" :-) Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
No over-center spring in it for the clutch... weighed too much I guess.
Thank you for viewing & sharing.
@@loucostabile thanks to you for showing the cars, Lou... history is everything.
L023 IMHO The best factory lightweight ever. It's so sad that today you can buy a Tesla Plaid that will do a 9.2 driven straight from the dealers lot to the drag strip. Ol' Elon's slot cars have made everything different.
Hi Joe, High praise for this factory lightweight :-) Yes, technology keeps moving forward, Lou
I cant help but cringe whenever I see one of these beautiful old darts with the rear fenders chopped up like that...
Hi Patty Hays, Good news! I have some Darts coming up on the UA-cam Channel I think you're going to love in the next 3 months so stay tuned, Lou
Badest in the valley. Took Dodge 50 years to do it again. A 130a mph in a little less than 10 seconds.
Hi Larry, Happy to share this car with you :-) Lou
