- This is the opening audio narration of the Millennium episode S02 E01 "The Beginning and the End", featuring Lance Henriksen as Frank Black. It's one of the best episodes of one of the best television series ever. Enjoy!
Best show ever from the 90’s. This was even better than the X-files.
Perfect. One of the greatest shows ever! WATCH IT NOW.
Wonderful monologue! I watched it on DVD the other day, and was so impressed at how much they'd put into the effects just for this! Thanks for the upload!
Thank you for putting this online! Incredible tv show. When I read of the approach of Comet ISON, I thought of this very quote from Frank Black.
"In Number, there is one for every life which ever was,
or ever will be,
And like most lives they wait, for a moment, the moment.
When we'll be sent on it's journey back towards the yellow Sun.
...
Approaching the Sun, brings definitive change...
We will never again be the same.
Peering in our skies it is believed to be the prophecy of extraordinary events...
...the birth of Kings,
...the death of Empires,
After Centuries, or Millennia, the Journey must end.
Perhaps smothered by it's own dust,
the dark, soulless body continues eternally through space and time,
It may disintegrate and crumble into inconsequential rubble,
or may be lost forever, crashing, burning, into the yellow Sun...
And tonight as I look into the sky and it looks back on me,
I want to know, which am I?
I need to know, is this the Beginning of the Journey,
... or the End..."
We were all staring at a massive real comet in the sky in 1997 when this episode aired. To say that it changed my perception on reality would be an understatement.
I took an awesome picture of Hale-Bopp the week before this episode aired.
@@WellReadRedneck Seems like yesterday
@@aleisterseverusgrey3778 I just noticed how much time has passed.
Dammit... now I feel even older!
@@WellReadRedneck Our time has passed, that has been my reckoning. Oh what sights we have seen!
We are the children, the generation of the Great Comet of 97. They won't remember us but they will remember the the comet they have never seen.
Wow, just wow! :)
muy bueno, estaba recordando esta parte de la serie.
I think there was an episode where Frank is helping to investigate a murder or suicide at a diner caused by 3 demons. They appear as a couple old men just sitting and drinking at the diner and Frank is the only one who can discern their real appearance. Does anyone know what the name of that episode was?
Somehow Satan Got Behind Me
One of the best episodes
Somehow Satan Got Behind Me
I absolutely loved the "Long Distance Service Telemarketer" bit!
Rather lovecraftian
.....Comet "Hale-Bopp" 1997....This was a harbinger for me. And this tv show. All happening at the same time.
Same here I will never forget even if i fall into dementia or some other neurological disease. That comet is burned into my eyes and mind and perhaps even my soul.
the bewitching hour
I reckon it's the house and I've been wondering what you have to say about that in particular
Love the show and Frank Blacks character! Does anyone know who the composer in the background is?
Mark Snow, same guy that did the composing for X-files and TONS of other tv shows and movies you likely know
Was he from Heaven…or Hell.
