Listen, I know this song is great and all that jazz but its also important to know the difference between real love and limerance/obsession.
I guess if I can also put my two cents in this conversation, I would also say that the BIGGEST difference between love and obsession is letting go.
Letting go doesn't mean you have to stop loving them but if letting them go makes them happier and better, then that's love. Love is about compromises, sacrifices, and respect for their choices. You can be happy and in love but if they're not happy with you or think they need a break, you have to be ok with letting them go. I haven't been long on this earth but I lived long enough to tell some of you here that the most important part of love is being selfless. I have unrequited crushes and loves yet I learned to let go because if I truly cared about them as their own person, then I would respect their choices. You have to know when to set it free.
I know it truly hurts to let the person go, especially when they feel like they're the only person truly for you. But what matters more, your "love" or their happiness? If their happiness is somewhere else without you, then why are you still holding them in a cage? Why would you not let them free and be happier? I understand that feeling of being obsessive. Hell, the thrill of it alone is addicting because to think that you're the only person they love and hurting others is both toxic and intoxicating. But the more I grew up and saw what love looked like with my own eyes, I took a step back and asked myself:
"Am I doing this for them or to satisfy my own need to be loved?"
And if you threatened others because they flirted with your partner/crush, let me ask you something, have you at least tried to talk to the person flirting? No threats, just a mature conversation that could clear up some mishaps. For all you know, they didn't know your partner had you as a partner or know that you want to be in a relationship with your crush. They could also be accidentally be giving off that impression. But if they knew, then either a.) Talk to them about your feelings in an honest yet mature way or b.) Ignore that. If I had to be honest, threatening others is just toxic and immature. It's immature because if it can be solved with talking then what's the point of killing them? Don't claim the high ground just because you care about someone because if you remove them, you're also taking away a person who has love and dreams as you have. And if they're being malicious, don't stoop lower than them.
And to those in opposite end, please leave. I assure you that you are more important. I do not care if you think they wouldn't go through with their words. THEY WOULD ABSOLUTELY DO IT. They don't care about you but the IDEA of who you are and could be. They don't care about you as a person. They probably do but it's not a risk. I don't care how many good memories you make with that person, it's not worth it. Trust me, I have been in platonic but toxic relationships where I'm tied down to the reason of my staying was because they had their "good moments". It's not worth it at all. Even though I experienced it platonically, I can't imagine what it would look like romantically. If they threaten you, run. To put it simply, would you rather be in a cage, fed but trapped or in the wild, challenging yet free and TRULY happy?
Overall, love is not about keeping your partner in a (HOPEFULLY METAPHORICAL) cage but to value their own happiness. Although you can make a relationship work, you have to be open to the idea of letting them go. If you let them go, then what now? Be proud of that person but search for your own happiness. That happiness shouldn't be tied down to a person but to YOU. If you can't love yourself, how can you do so for someone else? If the person leaves, then maybe they were never the person for you in the first place. There's other people in the world and I'm sure someone will find you eventually. But if you're still clinging on to the idea of obsession/limerance and don't want to let go, then let me ask you one question to make you ponder. You don't have to answer it but look at it deep within your heart...

This would make a good love(kinda) story. The girl is the first one who stalks the boy and be a creep but little does she know that the boy just does the same and they both stalk each other not knowing. The girl had a potential suitor and the boy started to be jealous and be a yandere and that's the part where the girl finds out that the boy really did love her all along in a twisted way that same thing she does. They both get creeped out at first and have doubts but then reconsider since they both already know everything about each other obsessively and none would give up and in the end they both get to be in the relationship they both always yearned for but still be twisted and cause diabolical rampage.
And this would be their theme song

Then, they realize that it’s unhealthy and they get therapy, but stay together and motivate each other to get help. :D

Oh my gosh, woah! Ngl, I was wondering if someone else who'd heard of this song thought so. Even my sister, the moment she heard this for the first time, said "The sad thing is that this is literally Marinette Dupain-Cheng." I just wish they would let her grow beyond spending half her time stalking a boy she could talk to any time she wanted to. It's not even like stalking's her only way to see and interact with him. They have the same friends, he likes her company and she sees him every day at school.
I don't know where you're at (if you still watch), so I won't say anything specific, but half of her issues with juggling being a superhero and civilian in later seasons could probably be resolved if stalking Adrien on and off screen didn't take up so much of her time. And her character would also be infinitely more enjoyable to follow.
