Spouses who were abusive to their SO or children get a divorce and go to jail. That should not change just because he's a Hero. That's unfair to everyone who has done the exact same thing and still went there. You would not tell a family member of an abusive police officer that they should move on or he doesn't deserve to go to prison because he's putting people there and is changing. No, that's disrespectful and cruel.
