Thanks, this is great to hear. I really appreciate you watching and hope they do help plan your first cruise. They are addictive so hopefully will be first of many ....
I love these reports - I've never cruised but would like to. As a solo traveller though the options are limited due to the extra costs. I know some lines offer solo cabins but these are generally very small so until I can afford sole occupancy of a double balcony cabin, I'll just travel with you and other cruise bloggers
Thanks for watching! Good to hear they helping you virtual cruise. Solo cruising is an issue still and I do travel without my other half a lot and it is costly to pay (especially as I do really like a balcony ...)
An excellent review. It was not mentioned in the video, is it still the case that there are set times for children too use the swimming pool? Also, given some of the comments, were children running about on your cruise? My experience has been that lunch for a large group of children was held at the rear of the Yacht Club and was supervised by, presumably Childrens Club, staff.
Hi Gary and thank you for your very interest in videos. Can you recommend any Online TA specialized in cruises for European market? Unfortunately Cruisedirect many times only sells to US and Canada and Rolcruise quotes in GBP and maybe not so convenient due to currency conversion rate
Great video as usual, was tempted to check this ship out, until you got to the facilities for children, ultra luxury and kids running about are not compatible - 50 kids on board, worst nightmare ever - will avoid
Ultra luxury with loads of kids on board - they've got to be kidding - lol. (much nicer ship though than those hideous shopping malls that pass for ships these days)
I totally agree. We were looking at giving river cruising a go and thought this would be great being ultra luxury, but as soon as 'family friendly' was mentioned it was a complete no no.... shame. Thanks Gary you have saved us a packet 😉
It´s good to have at least an option that presents something different to the Maldives, Caribbean etc for family breaks - but I can imagine it would be a shock for some ......
Smoking annoyed me on my 2 sailings, seems to me plenty Germans smoke and may do so either side of your balcony and at the outside seating/eat & drink Sansi bar.
Yes Mark they still let you smoke yourself to ill health. Just smelling it drifting spoilt the ship for me, particularly when out on my “veranda” as they like to call balconies.
You non-smokers have every ship line that is 99% non-smoking and even on this ship you have most of the ship. If you are so anti-smoking go somewhere else. Let us have this. 35% of the world still smokes.
Great video!!! Love your reviews. I'm hoping to go my first cruise next year and your vids have become my bible for my planning. Thanks again

Kids' club AND Caviar night? Wouldn't haven't expected those on the same ship!
Cool, i was curious if there were cruise lines that allowed cigar smoking as i am a cigar smoking individual. Good to know thanks :D
there are quite a few ships that have a cigar room where you can purchase and smoke your own cigars

Great video, but out of my price range. Being over 75 an counting, I’ll stay to the less pricing. Excellent review thanks.
They are very expensive indeed!! They are ideal if you got lots of $$$ and looking for that degree of pampering but not for everyone as you say 😀
I guess all the books in the library are in German?
Probably magnificent
This ship seems far more smoker friendly than other lines. I would love this ship if true.

Yes. It is pretty unusual and is an interesting approach as may mean those without kids looking for top end may avoid

Go in early to mid April. Kids are still in school.
How intrusive is the smoking?
It wasn’t too bad and one could find spots away from it
Smoking annoyed me on my 2 sailings, seems to me plenty Germans smoke and may do so either side of your balcony and at the outside seating/eat & drink Sansi bar.
@@143mal1 They still allow smoking on the balconies on this ship? All other cruise lines have forbidden this.
シーボーンの寿司レストランはなかなかだったが、他のラグジュアリー船の日本食は失敗ばかり。シルバーミューズのカイセキの大失敗は記憶に新しい。船の評判も良いし、来春乗船するので期待したいところ。
the costs starts by the way at 4000 € at night 😂 and drinks are not included .. I don't think it's worth it
