Syrup is a water extraction and only water soluble plant constituents are present; tincture, however, is usually (though not always) an extraction of both water and alcohol constituents. 100 proof vodka, for example, though we call it “alcohol,” is half water, and so...you know what, watch my video from last month on Tincture Ratios & Solubility. 🤣 Syrup may be better for alcoholics and children. Tincture may be better for diabetics. You can always add tincture to a syrup to create an elixir and benefit from both.
