What a great story! And magnificent trees. Grandpa did good by you all, planting them all those years ago. I've wanted to plant pecan trees, but am borderline just within the ideal climate range. I planted Shagbark hickory instead last year, but they are tiny seedlings and I'll probably never see a harvest lol. I wish I knew about them earlier and planted them 20 years ago.
