Such a great surprise to see all this famous men and women that served. Some in ways that you are not going to be exciting such as Bee Arthur an Army Truck Driver 😯
As a 25-yr Navy veteran... the son of a WWII veteran... I thank you for reminding us of those heroes who came before us. We owe a debt of honor to the fallen heroes, and the survivors who returned to civilian life, changed forever. God bless their sacrifice, and God bless their families.
This was an awesome video. Thanks for all those who served in War Time and Peace Time...Including me. As a Navy Wave during Vietnam and later on in the Air Force Reserve , Air National Guard, Navy Reserve and Army Reserve. If I had to do it all over again I would have joined the Air Force and made a career out of it back in 1966...To late now.
Thanks for a Nice walk down Memory lane, watched movies of Many of the Stars/Veterans you featured and Great use of the “Stars and Stripes Forever” from a Desert Storm (3d Marines, 3d Tanks Medical Battalion) veteran!!!
Thank you for your work on this beautiful presentation❤️👏so many faces mostly older, young Hollywood ?? I remember seeing all the oldies, I am an oldie now 73 years young. The music makes this even greater 😀
Jimmy Stewart deserves more recognition than you give him. In the Army Air Corps he advanced to Colonel in command of a bomber wing. After the war he remained in the Air Force reserve, and retired a BGen.
Hi,... Was glad surprise for me to see those artist and to know they were militar soldiers... !! To much people who were cinema fanatics are proud of them... surelly ! Many thanks, I enjoyed this video and sound was interisting ! G.
I remember reading about a concert given in St. Petersburg (Russia) shortly after the demise of the old USSR. IIRC it was the Boston Pops who concluded the concert with The 1812 Overture (with real cannons) and Stars & Stripes Forever. It's said the Russians cheered both songs like mad. I've have given anything to be there or to have even seen the video. Love this song to death and still get chills when the piccolos start playing.
I just watched this tribute to the brave men and women who bravely served our great nation. They didn't cry and complain but went on and served. I'm curious about how many celebrities of today have served their country instead of bashing it. Oh well it doesn't matter patriotism has died for the most part and has been replaced with entitlement. At 65 years old and an Army vet i'm kind of glad I won't be around to see this country completely go to hell. The morals, honesty, integrity, respect for each other is gone. Replaced by the selfish "ME" attitude where every thing is owed but nothing has to be earned, just given. What a shameful world we live in. Even after all this the USA is still the greatest country in the world and I'm proud of what it stands for and in the end the common people are going to rise up and bring this great nation to the place that it is destined to be.
This really is an AMAZING video! I learned so much about people I didn't know served. some in world war 2, made world war 2 movies.. wow really makes it feel real now
Fascinating! Thanks, Beatles girl... I put this on when I'm feeling really depressed (not especially "patriotic" per se) just cuz it cheers me up... and there's NO ONE can do this like song like the Pops!!! (From Boston girl 🤩)👍 thanks for the replays!🥳
Excellent video, Beatles Girl! A great honor and tribute for the men and women in Hollywood who served in the military...so many of us only remember when they portrayed an Armed Forces roll in a movie. This list is much longer than we expected. We applaud you for the time and effort spent to create this work of art. Happy weekend, and best wishes.
+Mike W. and Brad Yeah, I know it was a little long, but it started to get a life of it's own! ahahaha I made one of these 4 years ago (a shorter one) and people kept saying how dare you leave out so & so, etc. Hopefully I didn't leave too many out. Thanks for the kind comments guys!
Thank you so much für this great video! All the heroes of my youth I found in the pictures! UA-cam doesn't allow to leave stars since a couple of years, but I don't mind. Nevertheless I leave ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ and a big fat thumbs up Froehliche Gruesse aus Tyrol :-)
Wonderful, BG! So many patriots and heroes that have served to protect our precious freedom, and those who have supported our brave men and women in uniform over the years. Thank you for this timely reminder and for putting this wonderful tribute together! Jim
Just because he didn't leave the States doesn't mean he doesn't deserve the spot he's in. You go where you're sent. At least he had the nerve to enlist. Many of the stars who enlisted were not sent overseas on purpose. The military decided America wouldn't appreciate it if one of the "Stars" were KIA, so most didn't go. But they served in whatever capacity they were sent to do. Better than 99% of the ones we have now.
A MILLION likes to this, you for doing this, and ALL of these Men&Women whom served. Being a veteran myself, from a family of Veterans, I can certainly appreciate this..When I took my father to Washington in 2010, and he & a few last surviving veterans of his OSS unit laid wreath at Arlington, it just...made my lifetime, of memory..I have this album, and Arthur Fiedler for sure, did so splendid..He was best conductor to the Pops, ever..I need now, to go to Fort Bragg, and see some of the items father donated to the museum.. I hope to go soon..Thankyou so much for this, Karen !!! It is SPECIAL ( Sterling Hayden was OSS..Jackie Coogan flew gliders, and helped support in Burma ) A splendid weekend to you..
+olvinyldude Wow, a million likes on this would be cool! We have a few veterans in my family too, my husband asked if I was gonna put him in here too! ahaha I'm really glad you enjoyed this one Rich, it really was time consuming, but nothing at all compared to the service so many give to our country every day!
Hello dear Karen, This upload is so very special to so many. My Father also served in WW2. I went to his grave on the 1st of this month. He's at Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno Ca. he would have been 100 years old on that day. I have a picture of him standing with Jimmy Stuart in France. (I saw him in here) I just missed out going to Nam, Thank God...... This is one very well but together video. it was nice to see all that served. God Bless them all. Again a great tribute to them all. Thanks for sharing this and also your time........Huge T/U........♡Carl 👍

You & Carl have a great weekend, maybe you'll see your grand kids!

Bob Hope spoke from true patriotism!! Ronald Reagan should be in the Honorary category since he never left the United States!!

Good morning America!
I wish this was our national anthem.
Didn't see Jimi Hendrix in there. 101st Airborne Division.
Yes, I already made the addition
Big thumbs up
+amandaskaraoke Thanks a lot Amanda!
Interesting posting Karen. That's quite a big list of names there! Many i know well. Very well put together! Cheers Tiger.
+Tiger Moth Thanks Tiger ~ yeah, it kinda took on a life of it's own!
great video !
+Giannhs Daskalakhs Thanks so much Giannhs!
What about R Lee Ermey? He was a Drill Instructor Sargent in the USMC. You cannot forget about him.
Absolutely, Ermey was a staff sergeant and an honorary gunnery sergeant. During his tenure in the U.S. Marine Corps, he served as a drill instructor.
P.S. Whenever I make these compilation videos, someone always gets left out ~ definitely not intentional.
Jimi Hendrix was in the 82nd airborne,Screening Eagles.
Screaming Eagles are 101st Airborne. 82 is All America.
Not a patch on the Carl Davis arrangement played by the Royal Philharmonic !!
That's because when I bought it on iTunes it only said performed by Various Artists otherwise I would've noted it.
спасибо! я тоже подписался на ваш канал!
+солянка от Арчи!!! You're welcome ~ thanks for subbing!
Sadly so many have passed.
I'd love to know how many TV, movie and sports people have taken time from their careers to serve. Could be an interesting comparison.
You missed one. In the comedians section George Gobel was an Air Force flight instructor in World War 2.
John Wayne also if nobody knew he recived the iron mike award from the MARINES
Great memories
have a nice day
Guido
+survival-Kurse Thanks so much Guido ~ happy weekend!
Why are all of the coolest guys (and Bea Arthur,) Marines??? We ain't the smartest,,,just the toughest.
And compare the current "stars" most of whom prefer to denigrate the militasry.
MANDATORY MILITARY SERVICE.
Jimmy Stuart came out a brigadier general from the Air Force Reserve
You forgot James Doohan - Star Trek's Scotty. He landed at Normandy on D-Day and was wounded.
He was in the Canadian military.
John Philip Sousa en réalité Jean - Philippe Sousa ''Français'' a composé de très nombreux airs militaire Américain
you forgot Jimi Hendrix, 101 airborn I think. still very good video.
