Great video looks like I will be playing the same courses as you hopefully you will cut together a video on golf Asian and what to expect good and bad ❤❤❤
Plantation has to be my favourite course for scoring. I usually manage 75 - 79. At first I didn't recognise the course, the trees have really grown and a lot of jungle has been cleared. I haven't been there since 2018 and I haven't played Tapioca since about 2015. I try to play it twice when I go to that area. The LPGA was supposed to alternate between the Old course and Plantation. They only played Plantation once as the Ladies didn't like the ornamental grass between fairways that gets treated as a water hazard. The first time I went with the triple green outside the club house I thought it must be the 9th hole for each course. How wrong can you be! 🤣🤣🤣🤣I'm going to have a little edit here. Now my memory is working my usual 2 9's are Sugar Cane and Tapioca. Pineapple is the hard one. Sugar Cane I think is the best.
Thanks for sharing! 75-79 is very impressive:) I liked the Pineapple course a bit more I think. I'll have to go back and try Sugar Cane next time! Complete the trio haha
@@GolfwithShan If you ever get to Burapha (opposite Laem Chabang entrance on the main road) play the A & B. If the starter says you are on C & D today offer a bribe!
The 3 we played I would recommend! Chee Chan for sure, Laem Chabang is a very nice course (there are a ton of the little bugs flying around, maybe it's seasonal), and Siam Country Club I would like to play all the Siam courses. :)
Chee Chan, Siam-Old Course, Plantation, Waterside (and Siam Rolling Hills is new but still A grade) Leam Chabang only have one nine they have renovated, B & C courses not in great condition. Do not bother playing any others if you are after world class courses, Thai Country Club is also good but an hour from Pattaya.
@@tonyw1w1w14 Thanks, will have to check out Siam Rolling Hills...it looks nice! So far played Chee Chan, Siam Plantation and Laem Chabang and enjoyed them all....also just played Phoenix Gold and it was pretty good for the price (2200 THB Sport day Tuesday)
Why didn’t you guys use the clubhouse and shower facilities after the round? It’s part of the experience when playing country club golf. Especially at Siam.
@@GolfwithShan I’m a member at Siam and they have great showers with great water pressure! Freshly showered and wearing a clean change of clothes, you’ll feel like a new woman and ready for a great lunch on the plantation terrace over looking some of the holes you just played. Although sometimes I’d rather not relive some of those recent golf memories. 😂😂😂
@@GolfwithShanThere’s a few different memberships, but I went with the 4-course. The Old course, Plantation, Waterside, and Rolling Hills (Weekdays only) But there’s also the 3 course membership (Plantation, Waterside, and Rolling Hill) and an Old Course only membership? And they also have memberships where you can play any of the Siam courses anytime including Siam Bangkok. Hope this was helpful.
For some mysterious Thai reason Plantation has moved an average of five white tees per 18 holes back to the blue tee boxes, this results in the slope ratings being incorrect, its very frustrating if you play there regularly, your handicap suffers as well.
Of course! I use PXG Gen 4 full set. I've made a few videos about them, this one ua-cam.com/video/q9xtPXdF8Mo/v-deo.htmlsi=2NU7HVszjju1umli goes into all the details about exactly what I got fitted for and cost 😊 My boyfriend has the Mizuno JPX923 irons, Titleist SM9 wedges ua-cam.com/video/eZ6VxXiT9ZM/v-deo.htmlsi=dTTiFZyqNA5aZuCD here's the video unboxing them brand new! He also has the Titleist TSI 3 driver, Taylormade Sim 2 wood, Odyssey putter.
Nice recovery after the rough start. Too bad about the course needing to protect the caddies from sexual harassment - Pattaya is the worst place in Thailand for sex tourism though and I guess the caddies end up dealing with some very trashy men.

You have to be careful of Sand Fleas in the traps. 7-11 sell Coconut oil that keeps them away.
You have an Infectious😊 smile
Thank you! 😊
nice videos! Going to play golf in Pattaya area for the first time this month. What would say are the 3 best courses to play. Thanks!

Thanks for the info! Looking forward to some good golf in Pattaya! Cheers!

I don't like to bring change of clothes 😂 We usually go back to the hotel to shower. Good point though, I should try next time!

That's so cool! Out of curiosity, as a member, do you get the same member benefits at all the Siam courses?

Yes, thank you! That's really interesting

may i ask , what eqt did you use to record?
phone or cam , and on a tripod?
I use a Canon EOS M50 camera on a tripod
Misquote’s always go for the sweet ones ☺️
Of the 3 Siam courses that I have played, Plantation is my least favorite. Greens were very hard and held very few shots.
Seems longer because it is. Meters not yards...
What are your golf clubs? Also your boyfriends if you don't mind letting us know? Thanks!!!!
