as a pats fan i watched this after the draft and thought there wasn't much to get excited about, but the way he navigated the pocket under pressure and didn't panic against the lions was much more impressive than anything he did in this video
It’s hard to evaluate him because he’s got all day to throw and the level of competition. Plus he’s throwing to a lot of wide open receivers that will hardly ever be that open in the NFL. 1 thing I do like about him is his accuracy.
The kid threw 62 TDs to only 11 int. He's got a strong arm that can throw some heat when it's necessary but usually he is throwing on time to receivers that are running great routes or that are really good at getting open. Even when they did play the bigger D1 schools they were never blown out but he threw for big TDs no matter the competition. The NFL will be a much faster pace but we will see what he's got on pro day or combine. Interesting for sure.
It's just like that Ridder kid from Cincinnati! Huge numbers, number 2 rank but they didn't play real a difficult schedule. But they did beat Norte Dame and blew put every other team they played. I can't wait to see though.

Great ball placement on a lot of his throws, and the deep shots almost remind me of Russell Wilson's good years-moon shots that come down almost vertically and are easy to track and catch.

Pros: Accurate. Great touch on his throws. Quick release. Scans the field well. Makes quick and precise decisions. Gets rid of the ball within 3 seconds consistently. Only throws the ball where the receiver can make a play. Good back shoulder throw. Agile inside of the pocket, throws on a dime when outside of the pocket. Cons: arm strength, can he move the ball downfield at will or will he be a nickel and dime type of qb? Alot of signs point towards the latter. Durability is a concern. Can he handle a 17game regular season or does he get injured like a Baker mayfield, tua or wentz. Very interesting prospect. Overall hes a 3rd-4th round type of prospect
He's very confident. Feels like a Patriots pick I don't like it but to be honest I never like what the Patriots do in the draft but since it all works out I won't complain.
This dude doesn’t have a little bit of Drew Brees in him… he’s got a LOT of Drew Brees in him. He’s got incredible accuracy and touch. The ball isn’t so zippy off his hand, but he knows how to play to his strengths. He knows how to go through his progressions as well. The only hurdle I see him having short-term in the NFL is holding on to the ball for too long.

I like watching him he has very consistent footwork a quick release and he reads the defenses and goes through his progressions and has some nice pocket presence but we will need to see that tested at the senior bowl

Although Tom Brady was taken in the 6th round he was 6 foot 5 inches in height and was overlooked because he played in the shadow of Drew Hensen at Michigan. Zappe is a shorter guy and it will be more difficult for him in the NFL.

Lol proves to me you have never watched Rudolph, Rudolph is much better than a washed up Ben and had a very accurate deep ball and decent vision. He needs some improvement but once they rebuild that o-line and get Rudolph in the lineup starting and the defense stays healthy they will be a Super Bowl tier team.

Personally, I think Danny Dimes could have a great future.
He has a NFL arm with a quick delivery but I think he needs to sit for a year are two draft him in the forth round, giants, Washington,saints.
