honestly kinda wish crit role actually talked about the award show. they easily would have won this one but also gotten hella publicity for this event and streamers involved
I'm a massive fan of critical role and it's a nice nod to them being nominated but I don't really see what they do as a classic streaming in the twitch context. Its more of an event that's streamed weekly and uses twitch as one of their platforms. I think it's almost classy they "stayed in their lane" because you know if critters picked up on it they'd have flooded the votes and none of the streamers who actual RP would have had a chance...
@@orik48 well the thing is tho crit role RPS more than anyone and they do it professionally. They created their own animated series. They’re constantly RPing in DND obviously. The team has yo do crazy planning to create this world that we get to watch every week. As opposed to people just loggin into gta RP for a few hours. I’m not sure if they knew of the event but it was really cool seeing them nominated
@@smallbonesrs as I said I'm a massive fan so I understand how big it is. I'm not undermining their accomplishments. I'm saying they don't fit "the streamer awards" because of how large they are. The award show is meant to award individual streamers, not entire companies with Amazon prime deals and BAFTA level actors. Critical role DESERVES awards, just not at the streamer awards show. They shouldn't have been nominated to start as I don't think they fit what the awards show was trying to accomplish, a fun awards show for good content.
And I think critrole understood that which is why I feel like they stepped back and didn't promote votes here.
@@orik48 did they mention it at all? i dont think theyre really in the same sphere as the people there. most of the streamers there knew eachother and had similar friend groups from that side of twitch. and yeah i can see crit role doesnt even really interact with chat like nearly all streamers do.
now if only he would get his teeth fixed....
