Saskatoon is nice i was living there for short time with mom and dad when i was 13 years old in 1976 when it first foster home i want moved back with my brother and sisters they were in another forester home in1977 in Regina
Most of the city has cars bro even in the hood we usually bike or board; if you can’t afford a 700 dollar car and insurance you probably live on the west side and walking on the west side sucks. Shows you how Canadians act in real life lol
It seems a nice town, I really believe that Canada is a very nice country with kind and warm people.Canadians are North-Americans but they are nice, kind and warm, friendly to foreigners!!!
Not really, if they were friendly to foreigners they wouldn't feel the need to live in segregated communities within these cities. Canadians "tolerate" migrants but don't really embrace them all that much.
@@mason6300 At least that's what they seem to be. Do have any experience with this? I want to immigrate to Canada since I was a kid, i'm brazilian, and, despite having researched a lot about this, I still fear a little that i'll not be accepted in the community. There are lots of brazilians that immgrated to Canada and have a UA-cam channel, and their opinions about this are neutral, they don't report any kind of prejudice from Canadians to the fact that they are immigrants.
@@mason6300 Then why do you even bother? See you cant even answer that Brazilian guy's question. I dont even wanna get political but you seem like another "let me be offended on your behalf" white liberal
Thanks for the nicely filmed tour. The city seems very relaxed and quiet, but I wonder why there is nobody cycling around, even in the central parts. Do you have any idea?
Thank you for the tour!! I'm looking to move to Saskatoon from BC (I know, sounds crazy right??) because of how unaffordable it is for me to live here in Victoria. I was pleased to see how pretty downtown is and how many beautiful trees there are. I'm not a fan of skyscrapers or ultra modern buildings! I'm not sure when your next trip to Saskatoon may be, but I would LOVE if you uploaded a video showing the different neighbourhoods! Would be very cool to see some residential streets. I hear the west side is quite sketchy, but I would love to see a visual example of this. The homelessness is so bad in Victoria that I can't imagine Saskatoon being anything like downtown Victoria in terms of crime and drug use. Maybe someone in the comments can enlighten me?
Okay so the humidity and weather is way different in Saskatchewan I’m from Victoria and it took me like a year to adjust to it. Crime is higher in Saskatchewan than BC per capita that is a fact, median income is also lower, with that said I’ve heard lots of great things about Saskatoon and if you’re choosing between Saskatoon or Regina I can definitely say I would move to Saskatoon over Regina, I lived in Regina and if wasn’t ideal.
@@animalconsultant7796just because you heard great things about Saskatoon does not mean its a great place to live please stop giving life advice because you heard things. I have two friends currently going to school there and they also heard great things about the city. But sadly it was propaganda, they were told it had amazing art scene nope lots of concerts nope but you name they had it. Nothing happens in Saskatoon other than crime. Most of the crap they really wanted to do were In Regina rider games one large country festival, iMax. I've never visited but wanted to see first hand what this city looks like and its kinda what I imagined. And its just funny that the same bs my friends were told were also told to others. The only aspect of the city that was true was the food scene is actually very good. Other than that not much is going on in that part of the country.
I'm still here in philippines.... my wife is working in this city until now.. we're planning to live here hopefully next year.... after pandemic... what a nice and beautiful city of saskatoon .. see yahhhh
I'm so sorry for Canada. Most things about a good Canada are not true, Including clean cities - beaches, and forests. It's a big lie. The first time I arrived in Vancouver in 2018, I was shocked. As soon as I left the airport door, I saw tissue, disposable glasses, and other garbage left in the city. The further I went, the more I saw them. Before I moved to Canada, I lived in Georgia, Armenia, Turkey, Serbia, The United States, and for a short time in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Netherland, Germany, and England, but I have never seen the amount of garbage that people leave in different Canadian cities. Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec are no less than Vancouver. Canadian and Canada Governments don't care about this tragedy. I think everything that says about Canada as a clean and powerful culture is not true. You don't need to travel to Canada to see this. Just watch some videos about walking in downtown Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec. You will find the truth. Impossible for you to walk in a Canadian city and you don't see the dark side of that. Everywhere you will see garbage. You will never see this in Europe, Australia, the United States, Japan, and Korea. This amount of waste is not even seen in Malaysian, Indonesian, or Thailand cities. It is impossible for you to use public transport and not see a lot of garbage at stations or on the route. You will be surprised to find a lot of garbage even in the woods - by the rivers and on the beaches in Canada. I wish the Canadians woke up and had no enmity with their country.
the architecture of this city is kinda bland very square lacks character the shot over the bridge was amazing then you go into the core and its a bunch of concrete buildings and some really ugly modernish builds thinking late 90s 2000s builds. Non of it flows well very spread out. Probably one of the uglier downtowns in western Canada for the size tbh comparing the two Saskatchewan cities you can tell Regina is where a lot of the old money was spent. Downtown flowed much better some of older builds gave the area an grand sort of vibe and the 60/70 builds were quite nice and flowed well with the earlier builds and the builds from the 90s also flow well with the modern builds. Defiantly needs some infills but it seems more dense which is what you want in the main core especially in a smaller city. the spread out mentality of Edmonton and Saskatoon just look bad. Lots of empty spaces and the builds are similar very bland. both have very nice river fronts but the downtowns are lacking in character this city especially they need to shrink the core significantly and infill from there and expand the core when needed.
Saskatoon air smells like shit. The air is always saturated with diesel fumes and smoke from wood burning. Every 3-4 minutes the air starts smelling like shit, because some stinky diesel pickup truck passes near by and poisons all the street. My hair smells of smoke every time I come from the street. This city is shit, you always intoxicated here because of smoke. This video reflects nothing. To live in saskatoon is the same as to take a cold shower in a room full of diesel farts. The life quality here is so low.

OMG even this that is not the main city is Saskatchewan looks better than Winnipeg
Such a relaxing video and a beautiful city! Thanks for the upload
Beautiful City. Also you ran that stop at 15:20 heh
A flashing red means to stop and then proceed when safe what we saw there would have been large fine and demerits if seen.
also the 2 cars near start of video run the red too, 2nd blazer stopped then went because other car went. such sheeple lol
Wow, what a nice city Saskatoon seems to be. When I finally do get to Canada I don't know where to go first

cyclists are there but rare, most use the riverbank and are considered a nuisance.
I've heard that cycling is quite popular in some of the newer developments on the East side of the City.
