The amount of police radio chatter and the way they’re constantly communicating used to make it feel so immersive and authentic. Really added to the thrill!
They do the same thing in F.E.A.R. for the same reason. It also helps add to their intelligence.
If you listen carefully you can notice they are not just saying gibberish as well. Like "He is 10-34 Just hit a Semi I'm going in" And stuff like that so you can hear when they are calling for a roadblock or saying when you crash.

I don't know who was responsible for voice direction with this game but the police are absolutely STUNNING here. Just incredible work, and I'm glad this game is rightfully remembered for its police.
Coming to this video after seeing the police chatter in nfs unbound, it’s amazing in this game, perfect even. New game isn’t even bad, this is just so good I don’t know how they could ever top it.
cop chatter is probably one of the best things in the whole gaming history in this game. And also the soundtrack is awesome
To think that the music gets more intense as your heat level gets higher as a sign of "Oh god I'm getting in more trouble" is just...amazing, coupled with the frantic police radio chatter makes this feel more like a film than anything!

Not until I was older did I realize not just how good the radio chatter is and how immersive it makes the chases but how the map flows so, so well
Its like every time you need somewhere to dive into or a new turn to take or whatever, its just there
Its like the map knows what you need and gives it to you, but still has the challenge that means you do need skill to actually be able to execute the moves
Genuinely this game is a masterpiece
The adaptive background music with the different situations in each cop chase reated the most intense atmosphere better than any racing game today
this is oddly satisfying
the music really fits in the pursuit and the callouts too.

Has anyone notice that weird thing the cop cars do when the heat level changes? The sirens turn off and they drive super fast. Like supersonic speed
They're dropping out to make way for the higher level units, so the game just makes them rubberband to all hell lmao

Condition 1 - Boring: you have to actively search for them
Condition 2 - Alright: more police more interesting
Condition 3 - Run: you actually have to start trying to avoid thrm

I love how Most Wanted really wants us to take police chases seriously. And they're right to think that. God they're terrifying.
This game gave me my first real panic attack lmao these chases were so damn intense but so much fun
One would think they'd just lay a spike strip on all lanes.
You had to have some means of plowing through lol.
Though they did hide the spikes at times with units in front of them

@@JamesLard32 I’ve only played the original. Even after I hit the spikes, I tried my hardest to get away. Never did. Once I had one blown tire and managed to get away. I was mind blown over my accomplishment. 😂

Likely the remake in 2012. The 2005 version if you pop all 4 tires your acceleration becomes disabled and you eventually stop and can't move

fun fact Cross when he joins the chase isnt really meant to bust you but to actually keep you in sight basically a ground helicopter but he can be stopped

Heat level 5 isn't the highest heat level in this game. The heat levels can go all the way up to ten, but the game caps it at 5 (Possibly for the players sake [which is understandable]). You do face heat level 6 at one point in the game, and the Black Edition has a heat level 7 chase.
when i was a kid i played *some* nfs game and thats all i remembered but the moment i saw your car rip through the support beams on the donut i instantly realized this is it, this is the game i played all those years ago
When you start a chase with a condition 1 cop... you already know that you lost them :P

the amont of police comunication and chatting makes it so immersive, and it feeles like the police is trying the hardest to stop the Protagonist
That's really nostalgic! I remember I played this game with dad when I was few years old and it's much better than new Most Wanted(I played that too on ps3). Now I really wanna play that again

I’m not sure why they didn’t have actual Crown Vics in Most Wanted if they have two Ford cars in that game, as well as Carbon. Imagine being able to purchase, drive, and customize one in Career mode.
The Rhino SUVs also resemble Jeep Grand Cheeokees.
I forgot how freaking realistic the radio chatter was. The pursuit experience in this game was just incredible. Shame that NFS is done for since

I loved these. Specially with my favourite Aston Martin DB9. Collected the most bounty points with that car.
Got busted in every other car that I had, but not in Aston Martin.
